Android browsers

Which browser do you use for your android device? Which browser is the best in terms of speed and performance?

Focus, but I don't do a lot of browsing so I can't really comment on performance. Seems on par with chrome before I switched about 6mo ago.

>which browser do you use for your android device?
FF focus + nightly. Focus is set as my default though.

>Which browser is the best in terms of speed and performance?
probably focus.
Other browsers that might be worth checking out are lightning browser, or one of the open source builds of CAF chromium.

Firefox Nightly not really as fast as Chrome but it's good enough and supports extensions, hopefully by early 2018 the performance improvements from desktop will be available for Android

Most of these are available on iOS too but nothing beats Safari with AdGuard.

Brave was good but too many glitches and slowdowns.

>FF focus
So does it offer the exact same feature-set as regular FF while also including privacy as a default?

not really.
Focus is based on webkit instead of gecko, and it isn't really a fully fledged browser.
You can think of it as incognito mode, but with extra script blocking capabilities. The way I use it in conjunction with ff nightly is to have focus set as my default, so all links open in it. Then, if it's something I really want to look at again, I'll send the link to nightly which I can open whenever I want to.

I seriously wouldn't recommend having just focus. It's best used in conjunction with another browser.

doesn't focus reload the tabs everytime you switch to another or is just my 2gb of ram chinkphone?

Waterfox

yes, focus is not actually capable of mutli tab browsing.
The "tabs" it saves are really just a list of URLs, and it only loads one at a time.
Like I've said, it works best when combined with another browser.

Probably your phone. I had to install kitkat back in my 1gb ram tablet to make it useful again. I couldn't change tabs.

Brave

aight cool, thanks for your input!

I used firefox and naked browser when on torrents

Samsung Internet - best performance
Brave and Naked Browser - second best performance
Firefox - most features

This is from a benchmark done around 6 months ago

so what are using for porn?

Naked Browser master race

I'm probably the only Android user here that uses opera mini, because I use opera turbo on my computer.

I used Naked Browser for a long time, when I still had an Galaxy S. After upgrading I used IceCatMobile and Lightning, switched a few times between them. IceCat, for me, was faster then regular Firefox and it's on F-Droid. Unfortunately it has a hard time following the update circle of ESR and was outdated for quite some time. They recently caught up but somehow it felt slower and less responsive and since it's beginnings I think they did some strange choices regarding their default add ons (which, of course, can be disabled). So I switched yet again to F-Droid Fennec, looking forward to 57.

I like brave for its privacy features but the interface is retarded. Samsung internet beta has been working quite well so far.

I just use chrome. Seems like I'm the only one.

Phone has like 8 cores and 4gb so who cares?

the samsung browser

remove opera the blue green chrome, uc browser all of those are chink botnet

>Brave
>Privacy
Pick 1

clover or focus

Samsung internet is unironically good.
