Are these worth?
I don't have space for headphones and mic and I know people here suggest buying those instead of an headset.

I fail to see how an SHP9500S and a BoomPro would take up more space than that.

what's a good pair of headphones for $60?

SHP9500S or HD558

As a human race, have we reached the acoustical limitations that can be achieved with headphone development for high fidelity audio reproduction?

Have a pair of Xiaomeme Piston 3s that I use at work, which are great.

Quadbeat 3 tuned by AKG is the GOAT of cheap IEMs but nobody knows about it.

It's our little secret.

I'm really not a fan of gamer headsets just because I'm really picky about sound even if it's just for when you're in voice playing a game.

I got a logitech G430 for christmas and I haven't touched them after using them 2-3 times with and without the USB dongle. They're incredibly bassy and everything sounds really veiled. It's absolute chaos in games trying to hear what's going on and what people are saying over explosions and whatnot.

Eventually I picked up the Antlion Modmic and I've never looked back. You end up with superior sound all around and it's pretty hassle-free attaching it to whatever you use.

youtube.com/watch?v=ePJvAyHOW6w

You could probably do a mod yourself for cheaper but the Antlion package is pretty well done and the mic is quality.

Have any of you tried the QC35 and the mdr 1000x? i need noise cancelling HP

the 1000xm2s are fantastic. way better than my previous zx770bns.

I mean my budget is like 50 euros, I was thinking about (as some other user suggested) Superlux HD668b and a mic, or those cloud stinger headphones. What's better?

Vsonic VSD1s

Check if they're the newer model wherever you buy from. The old model had cable and case quality issues that they fixed.

They sell the VSD1 on amazon for around 15 bucks but that pair has the build issues of the old models. Best throwaway pair money can buy though imo.

How is the Noise Cancelling, i read on those you fell like pressure on your ears when you use the noise cancelling.

they compensate for pressure changes when you optimize the nc, but i didnt feel any pressure on my ears over the long flight i just had.

i was also asleep most of the time as well.

the nc itself is amazing. with no music, you can barely hear engines.

ATH 700X for the past 4 years (overall satisfied; the lower end could be a bit better, the build quality is shit. I'm tired of fixing them.)

Are there any wireless earbud options that don't use bluetooth? Sound quality doesn't need to be spectacular.

why the fuck can't anime artists into feet

nobody has those gross finger shaped toes

How they sound with bluetooth? Some say they sound like the mdr 1a?

I wrote that already assuming you owned a decent pair of headphones.

I would still advise to go with something like the Superlux. Just get creative trying to put a mic on there or find something attachable.

Word of advice: Unidirectional microphones are often better for gaming/office use since they don't pick up surrounding noise much, if at all.

Before I got my antlion I just used a really cheap chinese headset around my neck that looked kinda like my pic.

I've tried both and the QC35 sound much, much better.

bottlehead is only doing a flat 15% discount vs their usual -$100

oh well, I'll just fall for it and buy the s.e.x. and get $100 off anyways

Did you try them with the NC on they say the NC fucks the sound a lot.

havent used the 1as so cant compare, but they sound good.

I did. They sound very good with the NC on. The Sonys sounded very wrong to me.

Any good beginner streamer setups?

Currently using Logitech G430.

I want amazing sound/mic quality, budget is $100 - $200.

I want to lick her feet.

If you have a Best Buy near you they have both models you're looking at to try out.

I know this is bait, but for the $200-300 price range, quite possibly. There'd need to be some massive shifts either in audio reproduction technology or in production and manufacturing industry to significantly lower the price.

Anyone have experience with the Sennheiser mx365s?

ath2020 as your mic, or samson cu01pro if your broke

Most streamers have a hard-on for the Blue Yeti and the Blue Snowball. In contrast to Blue Yeti there's a ton of more capable microphones for cheaper imo like the Audio Technica 2500.

The blue snowball is pretty compelling at 50 USD.

My own 2 cents: Get a chinese set like the Neweer NW-800 sets they offer on amazon for around 23 USD. You'll need to buy the additional power supply and dongle in the frequently bought for another 15 USD.

That gets you a pretty nice, cheap setup with a moveable arm that isn't miles away from much more expensive setups. Try not to invest too hard into the streaming unless you actually get rolling.

>The blue snowball is pretty compelling at 50 USD.
and sounds like shit unless your face is right up to it like you're going down on a monster ballsack

Improvement over the SMSL M3?

I've never used the snowball but I already imagined having it sitting on the desk would be annoying like the Yeti sitting on the desk which my friend owns. Yeti doesn't really have that problem but it does pick up more of what you do on the desk.

I didn't think it'd be that bad for 50 bucks for someone starting out, but that's why I suggested that Neweer setup with the arm.

If you're a smalltime streamer with less than 50 viewers there's really no point in spending more than 50-70 bucks.

Fuck it, I got the fenestrated lambskin

I miss the lambskin pads from my Denon D2000

that's good to hear. I'm tempted to buy them and I don't even own an hd600/650 and don't plan to own one lmao. fenestrated lambskin is just sex

Whats your opinion on Audio-GD /hpg/?

Good for the money, but higher end than 95% of /hpg/ posters need.

measures oddly, better off going topping d30 + magni 3. hell, even ican se + d30 is cheaper and better

Gear that measures like shit (although probably not audibly shit) which appeals to SBAF cultists and assorted audiophools. Nothing special for the price, basically.

I've had my HD6XX for a few weeks now and I don't dislike the stock earpads, but they do get a bit sweaty and hot after a few hours. Hoping the fenestration will help keep my ears cool.

meant for

bottlehead crack is on sale for 15% off, if you can find a friend to buy one with you it will be another -10% off. I'm trying to find someone to buy a s.e.x. with me but it's as hard as you'd think trying to find a reputable someone to buy a $500 tube amp with you

Can't find magni 3 in the uk.

I know y'all are headphone snobs but can you talk to me for a second about microphones?

Me and a friend have some potential recording project ideas piling up so I am biting the bullet on a mic that can sound good. But it seems like the batteries are not included, so to speak.

Let me see if I have this right. I need to buy:
>the microphone itself
>a shock mount, pop filter, and an arm to hold it
>one or more XLR cables
>an amplifier-like device that goes between the mic and computer
Am I missing something? Is there a good package bundle somewhere? Looking at an AT2020.

Man I love IEMs but I can't get a lasting seal on anything. I have a pair of ATHM50s but I commute to work and I'm not at home for the majority of the day.

I haven't bought an expensive pair of IEMs since I got the Ety ER-4s a long time ago with those flanged earplugs that feel like they're taking your ear's virginity. Over ear, swivel nozzles, heavy buds, light buds, all included tips and comply tips. Nothing works. My ears are fucking cursed to never be able to use IEMs cause they never stay in. Even going as far as swabbing the outer portion of my ear with lightly salted water to reduce wax.

Would CIEMs solve this?

Hey, there's a 100$ discount on the Bose Quietcomfort 25 where I live. Is it a good deal? I like the active canceling gimik, since I'm going to use it mostly as travel headphones.

NFB-11 is good, don't know about their other stuff

SBAF cultists actually hate Audio-GD, and worship Schiit

What's the first song you play when you get a new pair of headphones?

This is what I considered but custom IEMs are quite expensive. I'm afraid to invest so heavily in something that might be another disappointment. If I could somehow get a guarantee that I won't lose seal I would do it in a heartbeat.

I've also considered a pair of cheaper closed headphones for commuting, but it's a whole different experience in a lot of ways.

i'm thinking about getting "true wireless" earbuds. anyone have any experience/recommendations?

Idol trash here.
What's your setup like, user?

Except, no stock :X

my.mixtape.moe/cvdkqw.flac

Any recommendations for over the ear active noise canceling headphones that don't require you buy batteries for them? The intended gift recipient also has an above-average sized head and ears, so larger cups and band are preferable.

You still need to convert polar to Cartesian.

I have been perennially skeptical of anyone who thinks there is no sleeve that fits them.
I think most IEM veterans keep a stock of many dozens of eartips at the minimum.

Comfort is something else, and even if it fitted to your ear, it may still not be comfortable.

Want some beater Bluetooth earbuds. What's the best cheap pair? Yes I checked the infographic, the Bluedio N2 is discontinued.

Plenty of people have long toes. While bending them upwards and measuring from the joint to the tip, my big toe is ~2.5" long.

you're a freak

How good are Sennheiser Urbanite over ear and BT? They're on sale at Amazon for over 50%. Should I bite?

So in conclusion, I need:
Noise-cancelling, over-ear, Bluetooth, about 300€ or more.
Recommendations?

HD579.

Sony 1000xm2
msr7/569

I mean, my feet are large in general. Size 13's and my winter boots need to be size 14 because they'd be too tight with my winter socks otherwise.

Just checked, my big toes is as long as my thumb, lol.

MSR7 or HD569 for closed.

Just... closed won't ever be as comfortable as open.

And open will sound better at the same price.

What about the HD599?
I guess I could go for an open one then, which is the better open option?

My jabra is falling apart. I need 8h+ battery life or a charging cradle ala apple. I'd really love active noise cancellation.

>What about the HD599?
Same FR so it should theorically be identical. Considerably more expensive. Reviewers prefer HD579, and claim HD599 has some issue with overall distortion when the bass hits.
In other words, don't bother with HD599.

Alright, thanks.

Hmm, a bit expensive. Any cheaper recommendations?

The next step in price would be HD600, which is ridiculously good, but it's a bit of a jump.

If you actually have the budget for that, go watch/read some HD600 reviews first, so you know what you're buying and why.

What is the second best headphone behind the HD600?

Alright.

thoughts on YEVO 1?

not him, but i couldn't i just get the hd 600 used?

Plantronics Backbeat Pro 2. Yay or nay?

Is active noise cancelling a meme outside of trains and airplanes?

Trying to decide if I want to purchase a pair of ANC headphones or not.

You could, yes. That's always an option, and way better value/money than whatever new you could get at the price.

Depends. Bro has Post Concussion Syndrome and the noise from being in a store, for instance, seriously aggravate the headaches.

I find total quiet makes me concentrate a little better due to mild ADHD. I just wasn't sure if they even offered extra quiet unless your environment is super loud. Also, I heard about how they make your ears feel pressurized. Is that an actual thing?

>YEVO 1
A bit overpriced since it doesnt have active noise cancelation. Worse, they try to make you think they do.

>YEVO 1 offers fantastic Passive Noise Isolation that lets you shut out disturbing backround noise. Just a tap away, Audio Transparency lets you mix your music with the surroundings.

What are some good replacement ear pads for the superlux hd668b ?

stop posting borderline porn

It won't be totally quiet, at best you'll hear some white noise. They won't do anything except introduce extra noise if you're at home.

They do not pressurize your ears.

Stop being a prude.

No you don’t. j*omega*L has no real component. the inaginary component is the magnitude.
