Android is dead

Help me make the transition to iOS from Android now that it's confirmed that even Lineage OS Android phones are 100% botnet.

Which applications should I replace the Google ones with?

Google tracks customers' movements through their Android phones even when they have disabled the function

Android users unwittingly sending location Google when in range of mast
Google getting data from Android users who had Google Play Services
Data was sent even when users turned on location privacy setting on phones

Your fault for allowing google on your phone, at least on Android it can be removed. Please give me a 100% guaranteed way to remove the icloud botnet on iPhones.

What happens if I use Play and then change my OS to Lineage?

Not OP, but my SM-G550T doesn't have room for all the apps I need, so I often uninstall the train ticket app to reinstall Skype and vice versa. What phone can I upgrade to this Black Friday for under 300 bucks?

>who had Google Play Services
>Installing the botnet
You deserve everything

S7

Nexus 5x

>using gservices
You only have yourself to blame

this

>Android is dead

It's only the most well used OS in the world, with usage share still climbing.

This. Does iOS even have 10% market share anymore?

HOW THE FUCK IS LINEAGEOS A BOTNET IF YOU HAVE NO GAPPS?

>people who have google's botnet on their phones are exposed to google's botnet

wew

My phone does not include any of those bits of software.

How does one remove the botnet from an apple device?

Google is still tracking you

>Google Tracks Your Android Phone's Location No Matter What You Do

>Turning off GPS will not protect you.

popularmechanics.com/technology/security/a13819012/google-android-phone-cell-tower-tracking/

Where in that article does it say that Android without gapps engages in tracking?

You can't remove Apple botnet but only disable it. There are more things that are pathetic like how everything restricts your freedom to DO ANYTHING.
ANYWAYS OP, TAKE YOUR IPHONE AND YOUR OTHER CANCEROUS COMRADE THREADS LIKE "Ohh, you would buy and iPhone if you could afford it."

NO, NO, NO!! I'm sick of this shit and it needs to stop.

...

You silly billy. I don't have a single trace of Google Play Services.

The AOSP keyboard that comes with LineageOS doesn't even connect to Google to get special features.

So bugs, phishing and Apple complying with US law ... that's all you have?

Apple tries to keep everything as local to your phone as possible/desired (iCloud is a choice) and tries to make it technologically impossible for themselves to invade upon it (to limit reach of US government). They don't sell data to advertisers.

To put that on the same level as Google who tries to keep everything on their own servers, run analytics on it to sell to advertisers and of course still has to comply with US government (just with a lot more data readily available) is just disingenuous.

>Where in that article does it say that Android without gapps engages in tracking?

Since the beginning of 2017, Android phones have been collecting the addresses of nearby cellular towers—even when location services are disabled—and sending that data back to Google. The result is that Google, the unit of Alphabet behind Android, has access to data about individuals’ locations and their movements that go far beyond a reasonable consumer expectation of privacy.

Quartz observed the data collection occur and contacted Google, which confirmed the practice.

Don't use iCloud backup.

It's a backup designed to be able to sync a new phone to the state of the old one, it is what it is because there is no alternative.

Buy Librem 5 if you're worried about botnet.

>cell phones
Only winning move is not to play. If you use one you're giving up your privacy.

>When Android devices are connected to a WiFi network, they will send the tower addresses to Google even if they don’t have SIM cards installed.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I've got the S7 and I quite like it, double botnet of course ... but yolo.

1. It's only google services which, while are opt out, are still completely optional, replaceable and not necessary for more than 10 pieces of software.
2. Your carrier gets the same information about you. Might as well not use SIM cards.
3. Android is open source, unlike iOS. Which means you or anyone else can make their non-botnet fork of it for your device.

You clearly didn't read the question, or you didn't read the article, or you don't understand what gapps is.

Fuck off back to Sup Forums kiddo

>Lineage OS Android phones are 100% botnet
[citation needed]

youtube.com/watch?v=RAaiRi5OyF4

Well imagine my cock

>watching yt cancer
>not being able to make your own opinion
isoyboy pleb

Just install LineageOS without any kind of GApps, just F-Droid.

Tell that to 90% of female celebrities out there with iPhones.

Actually, don't ;^)

Please explain how to extricate Google from my Android to an idort.

Hah!

The default map app on the iphone is decent. There are some locations on there that you can't even get to from google maps. I know this because I moved to a new house and it wasn't even on their maps yet. Traffic tracker on it is also more accurate.

Don't get the X. Get a 7 or 8. None of that plus bullshit. I personally upgraded my 5 of 5 years to a 7, which I hope will last me longer than 5. Not that my 5 was broken or anything, it still works perfectly.

Does this also apply to los? I think cm/los had their own privacy guard.

this

>idort
Get an iPhone, you're a basket case destined to be ripped off until the end of time.

Don't you manually have to flash gapps on Linage OS? OP you knew what you flashed, didn't you?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, but you don't need a black friday sale to buy that.

>So bugs, phishing and Apple complying with US law ... that's all you have?

>transition from android
May as well transition from male to female while you're at it

Fuck me

Steve Jobs was right

Convenience over security, it's their choice.

That they are not technologically educated enough to make that choice and are incompetent with passwords isn't really Apple's fault.

>t. apple paid shill

>no link
>Sup Forums file name
>2014

Do you get tired of being banned Andtoddler?

Nice try, Sergey. But your campaign financed Shillsung has been exposed.

So, first off, I am not a troll, I'm genuinely curious about options regarding privacy and if they're feasable.
I'm a student, and my entire semester is connected via whatsapp, study groups / work groups share progress in google docs, etc.
How on earth is one to remove that stuff without isolating and crippling themselves w/ regards to studying and being social with other students?!

iCloud can magically re-enable itself and sync everything even though it was told not to. Happened to several iPhones at work when updating from iOS 9 to 10 or 11.

>2014
You have to go back to your timeshine, Pajeet

>b-but it's not!!1
(You)

>They don't sell data to advertisers.
Ah, but they do.

They just claim they don't sell personal information to advertisers.

>Lineage OS Android phones are 100% botnet.
Proofs??

>Google is full-on botnet.
>They mine your data to make profit.
>When asked for help from governments they basically tell them to go fuck themselves.

>Apple is mid-tier botnet.
>They mine your data to secure a future user base testing how much they can fuck their costumers without losing them.
>When asked for voluntary cooperation with private and protected personal info by government they give it away in a matter of hours.

I'll go with my trusty Xiaomi/Chinese Government and Android/Google Overlords botnets any day of the week because I know they don't give two shits about my files and info since they don't pretend to be a company with morals.

OP doesn't know what gapps is.

imagine having this low of an iq

US law does not require them to turn over data unless they were already collecting it. Begone shill.

if you guys want to avoid botnets why are you using fucking Sup Forums

Daily brainlet reminder:

All mobiles are backdoored and your location can be tracked on any of them, iOS included. Even old flip phones are botnet.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseband_processor

There's a separate processor running a RTOS in the background. It's always on. It can even enable your microphone remotely.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Covert_listening_device

If you can't remove your battery, you need a RF shielded bag.

jemic.com/cell-phone-shielding.html

Finally, you are a numbnuts brainlet for suggesting that open source LineageOS has a hidden backdoor in location services. That would be obvious to spot and immediately removed.

Whats a botnet

>having Google services on your phone
I'd tell you to fuck off back to wherever you came from but considering an alarming amount of posters on Sup Forums have Windows 10 on their computers, I'm not surprised you think you're welcome here.

>trying to avoid the botnet
>still posting on Korean basket weaving forums
>still using FaceGoy
>using a phone when glow in the dark CIA niggers can use cell signals to track you
>your entire porn stash is in a datacenter in Arkansas
>using Tor or Tails? You're on a list
Either go innawoods or fuck off, everything is botnet you subhuman niggermonkey.

Sailfish OS is a viable replacement for android.

Android BTFO

>Botnet this
>Botnet that

At this day and age is there even a thing called privacy?

You want privacy. Keep it in your head.
