Norway’s pricey F-35s caught sending ‘sensitive data’ to US

Norway’s new F-35 fighter jets boast an impressive array of high-tech gadgetry, but Norwegian defense officials were surprised to learn of one unadvertised feature: the pricey plane relays sensitive data back to its US manufacturer, Lockheed Martin.

Why the fuck would Norway need a fucking 5th gen either way?

Should have bought Brazil's based cartel-bomber.

gotta love RT

>cartel-bomber
delet dis

That's a standard feature of any American software. Do you think Windows 10 is just one off example?

Best thing about F-35 is the pilot's helmet. It has cameras mounted outside the cockpit and the helmet establishes a 360 zero latency live feed around the plane. Plane itself disappears and the hud is imposed on top of this transparent view. It's really cool.

You know RT is Kremlin propaganda, right?

it's also probably America's shittiest plane to debt, despite the horseshoed consumerist gimmicks you mentioned.

>Even fighter jets are botnet

When are baby-boomers going to stop being suprised that if an object communicates out in any way, then it's a botnet? In 2017, your asscrack is botnet.

I think they have tactical purpose. Public does not understand everything. Altough the unit cost is extremely high, the military has this 'war network' in which each and every weapon system has access to same targeting and communication data on the battlefield. These planes have been designed in such way that altough their maneuverability isn't the best they still have probably the best targeting and tracking systems in the world. This combined with other units on the battlefield (drones etc) gives the plane unprecedented ability to see enemies. And in modern war the one who sees you first and most far can and will take the decisive action. This combined with the current missile technology where armaments launched from the fighter plane can intelligently guide themselves.
I'm sure they were thinking ahead and it only looks stupid when these fighters are reviewed against the more traditional units. People think that fighter's ability to 'fly' and 'go high speed' is the only value but in future warfare it's not that important. I mean it's important up to a point of course.

>rt, the most reliable source of info on the internet, after fox news of course

sup, agent dimitryevich?

Actual milfag here.

RT is bullshit.

And also, this is a generation of fighters which are falling in between a new generation of warfare where remotely controlled units are taking a big step forward. So in this sense their role is going to be largely different from previous theatres of war.
Getting this technology approved and used in the field always takes so damn long that it might look like it's obsolete in ways. 10-20 years for approval is very long time.

>To raise flight ceiling, purchase the "Sky's the Limit" DLC package today! Now on sale for 25% off through Christmas!

>Comes with 3 new skins!

Also, the fact they sell these planes to other countries means that they will have even further reduced usability as the purchasing nation do not have same kind of network of interconnected vehicles and systems. Essentially they are just buying the fighter jet and how to incorporate that into their existing setup which probably is lacking in the first place. As a traditional combat jet it sucks as it needs to be a part of a bigger picture.

>when there isn't enough immigrants and you're nigger rich on oil so you larp as battlefield 2142 by buying the military version of the iphone x

JAA VII ELSKEER DETTEE LANDEET
