Is there anything cool on gnunet, or is it all just pedos and paranoid people ranting about the US government?

Nobody uses gnunet, it's a testbed of p2p technology acedemics use for writing papers.

we could use it

I recall at least 3 different attempts by Sup Forums trying to use it in a span of 5 years, it doesn't work.

it just needs better GUI

GUI is the least of its problems.

Not that guy but could write about gnunet problems?

How about I2P? I'm looking for that early-mid 90s internet feel and haven't found it anywhere.

well just rewrite it rust you dumb monkey

usenet still exists

Messy codebase, frequent crashes, wtf tier network bootstrapping, jack shit slow downloads like 5KB/s downloads even though file was "seeded" by multiple peers.

I2P and freenet at least they work in sense of being somewhat usable.

This is the small thread. Why do need shitposting here?

Thanks.

I thought I2P and Freenet were just all pedoshit. Is there non-pedoshit discussion going on there too?

Germans use I2P to torrent movies and songs and shit.

The things look really bad in Germany. Could they use VPN and normal torrenting?

They are even cracking down webforums discussing about binary usenet downloads and indexers etc.

This. The configuration is a bitch in that goooey.

Friendly reminder.

This is only used by pedophiles isn't it.

That looks like webpage from the 90s.

Nah, the 90s were better.

Can this be set for mesh networks?

run a fucking node, help the community and spread the word. if you're waiting for it, one day, being popular and fast enough to download your porn at 1PB/s, just forget.

We should all commit to using GnuNet . Nobody else seems to use it.

isn't freenet faster for this?

We should. But only when someone makes a non-shit UI

>We should. But only when someone makes a non-shit UI
wtf wincuck, only normies shits about ui, it needs more peers and being stable

>muh peers
You won't get anyone on it unless you make it easy to get users. So, improve the UI/UX, installation and documentation.

I don't see any spinning 3d text in it.

i2p has a nice ui, good documentation, easy to install, but the traffic through my node is like 15 mb in a whole day

Exactly this. If GNUnet had all that it wouldn't be as shit.

>when someone makes a non-shit UI
This. The gtk is shit.

The command line is good but there is no manual. Nigger wtf, at least give me a way I can set this up.

This actually looks interesting to me. Seems to be active with updates.

No one uses it. It's one of FSF's many failed projects. i2p has a better chance of overtaking tor.
fat chance. Everything t thing the FSF's makes is obtuse and hard to use. I'm not saying that because I hate the FSF either. Free software is a good thing. I just wish they spent more time on usability and documentations.

sorry, i never installed gnunet, but isn't it like i2p and tor??: run the daemon and configure and browse in the browser or you're obliged to use the shit ui?

>How about I2P?
It's got an early 2000s feel to it if you ask me.

I can't get the chat to work

gnunet-conversation -e myAnonId666

Also tried with sudo

wtf

>isn't it like i2p and tor??: run the daemon and configure and browse in the browser
We wish, this is what we are complaining.

can I get some support here?
