yes to all

>>Also, what is the most accepted music genre in your cunt?
>yes

yup

I guess there isn't a stigma associated with listening to metal. People either like it or don't care about it.
>Do you like metal yourself?
Only some subgenres of metal
>Also, what is the most accepted music genre in your cunt?
J-pop or J-rock I guess
>Is traditional music still popular?
only among old folks

Metal is cool here, especially if you like the classics, being a metal head on the other hand is just for losers and wannabes, we do tolerate it on the young but any adult who's not somehow making a living out of it will be ridiculed out of polite society. If you're a pretty cool guy you might be able to pull it off in hipstery circles.

I'm into punk rock myself but yeah, I do enjoy the 70´s-80´s stuff, say up until Metallica's black album. With some very few exceptions I find anything you have to describe as anything other than glam or heavy ridiculous and formulaic.

Most accepted music depends a lot on your clique. For rock music arqueológico (Caifanes, Fobia, La Lupita) and 90's Iberoamerican (Enanitos Verdes, Soda Stereo) along with some of the more recent decent stuff (Zoe, Porter) would be the basics with normies leaning a lot towards pop rock (Julieta Venegas, Natalia Lafourcade) and small scenes for evrything else. Rock as such is kinda phasing into pop music unfortunately with folk music and electronic growing very strong with millenials.

>Is it a "taboo"?

Folk music is not bad and neither electronic, both can be pretty awesome music, but it just happens that the majority likes the shittier version of these genres here in Mexico.

I guess, I'm saying it is unfortunate as a rocker. If you like cumbias, corridos, punchis-punchis and reggaeton it is a golden era.

angry 8th grader music, T.B.H.

>People think metalheads are satanists
>Kinda
>-
>Sometimes.

>Arab pop music (aka mostly utter trash)
>Nothing specific I try to listen to as many genres as I can
>Yes

Those genres are fucking disgusting

Autistic/school shooter music. You'd get laughed here if you told anyone you are a fan of metal or head banger.

Metal is viewed as an edgy music genre for teenagers and virgins who watch anime, or manchildren with long hair who smell bad.
Most people into metal grow out of it by the time they graduate high school.

Though it's acceptable among normies to have a song or two of Metallica or Motorhead in your spotify music list.

>Most people into metal grow out of it by the time they graduate high school.

Those were not really into it in the first place.

It's ok
Metalheads are everywhere
I wish that was the most listened music

Back then protestantes would be a pain in the ass saying that it was music from the Devil.

Nowadays most people are Ok with it.

I was really into metal when I was 14 until I hit 18.
That was pretty much all I listened too, I also wore nothing but black clothes and metal bands shirts and sweaters.

Then I left school, started uni, discovered blues, and now I listen to a metal song every blue moon just for the nostalgy.

i listen to metal. all my friends do too and we are normies. not a big deal

FUCKING METAAAAAAL

Many people don't take it seriously but it isn't a taboo. It's more popular among elder (40-50) men than it is among the youth.

fedora

it's not really popular but it depends on the subgenre
power and folk metal fans are cringe incarnate

Surprisingly good for an islamic country

we even had some foreign bands come in and play in our local festivals

>Metal is a taboo
>In Finland
kek

Oh i miss the times of satanic panic when metal was demonic.
You can get into some trouble though if you're a headbanger in some islamic countries.

The vocals. Every time I find something new that sounds good.

At least these guys don't go full growl mode.

Music for manchildren.

it's not that popular anymore like it was 10 years ago tbqh

>How is metal viewed in your country?
Not mainstream, but fairly acceptable, because metal and rock were really big in the late 80's here.
>Is it a "taboo"?
Normies will look at you as a weirdo if you play it in public.
>Is it ok only for teenage white boys?
Seems to be more just as popular among fat 50 year-olds.
>Also, what is the most accepted music genre in your cunt?
Whatever plays on repeat on the most popular radio stations - pop.
>What music do you prefer?
Rock and metal as long as it's not heavier than thrash. Also disco now and then.
>Is traditional music still popular?
Mostly among older folks.

news flash faggot, you were a poser

blues? your taste is fucking shit

>be the reason why metal gets a bad name
>talk shit about metal

> How is metal viewed in your country?
Just like any other genre.
> Is it a "taboo"?
no
> Is it ok only for teenage white boys?
L.O.L.
Teenage boys who pretend to be metalheads are the most hated thing among the actual metal community.
> Do you like metal yourself?
yes

It's not very popular but there are some big fans

This is probably why no good bands ever came out of your country. Poser faggots

>viewed
Pretty normal I'd say
>taboo
No
>teenage white boys
They listen top-10 pop, niggerbeats or electronic music nowadays so no.
Hell I was at Black Sabbath concert in early July and majority of people there were nearing 30s and up, some 60 year olds as well and of course some 10 year old kids.
>do you like metal
Yes
>accepted genre
Probably your everyday generic rock and pop music
>what do you prefer
Sludge, Doom, Stoner and Crossover Thrash when it comes to metal, Stoner Rock and black man Blues.
>traditional music
Dunno.

>How is metal viewed in your country?
Everything is heavy metal.
>Is it a "taboo"?
No.
>Is it ok only for teenage white boys?
No. But a lot of edgy brats think they are superior because they listen to Bring Me the Horizon.
>Do you like metal yourself?
Yes. I don't listen to every genre/subgenre. I'm not into heavy metal, power metal or deathcore (except for Victim of Deception)

>Also, what is the most accepted music genre in your cunt?
Rock and pop.
>What music do you prefer?
Metalcore, post-hardcore, pop-punk, post-rock, melodic death metal, shoegaze, etc.
>Is traditional music still popular?
I guess...

>and metal bands shirts and sweaters.
Subtle clothes like pic related?
Or Iron Maiden tier t shirts?

>How is metal viewed in your country?
Went to terrible and dangerous to terrible and harmless mostly
>Is it a "taboo"?
Not much
>Is it ok only for teenage white boys?
Somewhat though less popular among teenagers
>Do you like metal yourself?
Yes
>Also, what is the most accepted music genre in your cunt? s
I don't know
US top 40
Copycats of US top 40
Endless bastardization of french chanson with the previous ones

We somewhat have a good classical and jazz network which is nice but it's not popular

>What music do you prefer?
It's been a long time since i've stopped defining myself as a metalhead though it represent about 25-30% of the time spent listening to music
I like classical, jazz, folk, progressive electronics, prog rock, post rock, metal, shoegaze, ambient, bla bla bla
>Is traditional music still popular?
Not much

Your country isn't normal.

It is full of maladjusted man-children.

Metal is still very popular for a subculture here

>t. america

I thought I kinda implied that, but yes, I agree

putaso

this.
you don't really listen metal unless you're "that weird kid"

Where the fuck do you guys live? Either you are projecting or you live in some sitty small town in the south.

>How is metal viewed in your country?
Like any other music genre. Because only the most asine of people would tell you off as some sort of satanist 'cuz you listen to metal,
>Is it a "taboo"?
No.
>Is it ok only for teenage white boys?
There's always gonna be that edgy kid who likes to pretend he's a metalhead but comes off as a tad tryhardy at best; there are defenitely profesional adults who like metal, like I now teachers and the such who are metalheads and punkys(or whatever you call them punk fans).
>Do you like metal yourself?
Yeh, it's pretty hype alraith.
>Also, what is the most accepted music genre in your cunt?
All that is electro, trap, and anything that's "Hip hop" in a way.
>What music do you prefer?
Any thing in the rock branch of music I can tolerate, I personally prefer power-metal though.
>Is traditional music still popular?
To much in my opinion.

>replied in spanish
Go back to your containment shithole.

putaso

Favourably

Folk metal is best
