What are witches like in your country? Are they populous and hold positions of power? Are they an active threat? How do you deal with them?

I thought this thread was made by some Romanian gypsy or some shit, I hover with my mouse and it's an American.

You should know Billy Bob, burm em.

i know that we blazed and razed them. that was years ago. i'm just not sure what the european/asian approach is and if their tradition of humanitarianism has allowed for them to live openly.

We revere ours as cultural icons, pictured is a legit curandera (healer) who was a big part of the psychodelic movement in the 1960's

>How do you deal with them?
Courteously decline their offer saying "Maybe some other time", because I'm cerebrally challenged and not up to the job.

don't most of the girls in japan has some sort of ability in witchcraft? or was this cut off at a certain generation

idk about that. maybe the closest things to witches we have are shrine maidens(miko) or shaman ladies(itako).

before we gassed jews, we used to burn witches, so there are no witches left in germany

We still have them, we buy their clairvoyance and curse skills for money

Mexico wont shutup about witches. There entire x posts are about that and dead relatives.

>legit

kek

I think the closest thing we have is Wicca, which is new age hippy shit.

I'm not sure if society rejects them or if they rejected society.

There are a few Wiccin covenants up her in Ohio.
They don't cause problems so no one really cares.

Legit not as in actually having magic powers but in the sense she was genuinelly a practitioner of traditional (Mazatec) medicine and a world renowned spiritual leader for the 60's - 70's counterculture aka hippies.

She didn't get any money/recognition for that, on the contrary she got in trouble with the government and her own community burnt her house down. She certainly wasn't a fraud, just a practitioner of ancient traditions who taught they should be shared freely.

To this day she's considered a guide for those who believe in psychodelic spirituality.

*thought

most 'witches' here are unmarried childless women over 35 years old

this. Usually red haired people

A FUCKING LEAF
Torture them for confession and then burn them at the stake.
GG EZ

i wonder if the towns folk first fucked them.

Most famous witch in Russia is Baba Yaga (baba = women).
She's living in "izbushka na kurjih hozhkah" which means "house on the chicken legs".
She's also eating kids by making a "pirogi" (cakes) with them.
But sometimes, in some stories, she's express herself as a good character that is helping main hero to find stuff he needs or just taking a rest/healing at her house.

Oh shirt, I thought we're talking about folklore.
Anyway, here's some folklore for you.
