They are too good for that

they're greedy jews

>Kaliningrad is part of EU
lel

Switzerland is neutral and has stayed out of international conflicts for at least two decades. By joining the EU, they would get dragged into shit. Norway and Iceland I have no idea about

>rich as fuck
>have almost the same trade rights that EU countries have
>actually have borders
I guess they are smart.

One of my biggest wishes is that we wouldn't be.

Don't you think it is cool you can drive to Portugal without any borders on your way?

In Switzerland's case it's cause they're lame faggots.

>without any borders on your way?
>drive to portugal
???

>driving from Finland to Portugal
Right.

When the time was right for them to join powerful individuals who profit from the current situation lobbyied against the membership so the people voted out.

>>actually have borders
They're part of Schengen, you know?

you dont stop at borders in EU, you can drive freely through

What's your problem? There is literally 0 borders between their countries, it's shengen.
France, Germany, Netherlands, whatever you want.

I drove once, was it in 2004? Via eastern Europe, Italy etc...

>Norway
Oilniggers, they'll join when the oil runs dry
>Switzerland
Tax haven
>Iceland
It seemed like they were going to join for a while but froze negotiations, no idea why.

Because they fear EU regulations on fishing quotas.

Would hurt our two main export industries, the seafood- and the petroleum industry. EU fishing boats would have access to our waters and EU would have more control on who we sell petroleum to and how much we produce/export. Farmers wouldn't be able to compete with the rest of the EU as the farms are much smaller, production costs much higher and we have several restrictions on GMO food etc. that EU don't. A tiny country like ours have next to no influence as a member, so might as well stay out.

Yeah you do that in an hour and the only inconvenience would be borders where you wouldnt be stopped anyway.

>muh oil

Norway and Switzerland can afford that. They pay for the access to the EU market and have to implement most of the EU regulations.

The fish is ours! OURS!

>That map

This is one major reason. Another is that every single Norwegian can see that EU is not working very well.

they don't want to spend money on eastern europe

For good reason

We choose not to join because we would have lost the our direct democracy.

You choose not to join because a billionaire spend millions of Franken to prevent the yes vote.

Source on that

The spice must flow

They should join and pay for our benefits

>actually have borders
Next time, do your research before commenting, hue.

So what do you do with it? I haven't seen what fish dishes are like in Iceland.

Seems like a good reason. Direct democracy sounds awesome.

1992: Switzerland rejects membership of the EEA with 50.3% of voters
1997: A referendum to start applying to the EU is rejected by 71.4% of voters
2001: The referendum to apply to the EU is rejected by 76.8% of voters
According to: tagesanzeiger.ch/ausland/europa/EUBeitritt-ist-so-unpopulaer-wie-noch-nie/story/28837548
As low as 11.5% the Swiss citizens today are in favour of joining the EU

We're keeping our currency and direct democracy, thank you and goodbye
