Tame and routine

Judging by all the shitposting on here, it must be pretty damn awful

peaceful

Boring America

2nd largest country in the world with a population smaller than California's.
The fresh air is nice and the wilderness is beautiful. Women here are pretty stupid tho

Need I say more?

Non-whites if you live in Ontario or B.C.
America Lite if you live in Ontario
Suicide if you live in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, the Maritimes, Newfoundland, Nunavut, NWT, Alberta, or Yukon
Quebecois if you live in Quebec

Memes aside it's a pretty great country here, especially if you love the outdoors. Excellent hiking to be had thanks to the fuck-ton of sparsely-populated wilderness and beautiful scenery.

Is there a country where the women aren't stupid?

that post really made me think

Spain

Pretty good here in BC, I live outside vancouver so lots of hiking, lots of lakes and beaches, trails, mountain biking, some hunting, good camping and in the summer there are hundreds of ski hills that are only a couple hours from me. It's pretty great if you like the out doors, my city only has like 150k people so it's not to small but it's not that exciting as the population shrinks in the winter.

>implying America isn't boring.

lol no

Spain

How is canadia dollar doing btw? The oil crisis must have been quite a hit to your economy.

...

rip

It's been lower in the past

Very similar to Northern USA states, in a good way though.

They don't have as many dindu diaspora whining about oppression there.

for what purpose

You mean, excepted Spain?

thriving.

i live in the worst city with a pop over 500k, and houses here have jumped 3x in price over the last decade. profitable investments if you are a homeowner (though i'm not).

it's returning to pre-2008 levels t b h.

northern US has shittier infrastructure, trashier people, less connected cities, huge gaps between neighborhoods/areas of a town and etc. honestly americans are way more rural than we are for some reason.

What did they mean by this?

Victoria is a top 10 city in the world desu. Just imagine Vancouver with less people and no Chinese.

Eastern provinces are the best provinces.

fucking save me from this hellhole

Of course Trudeau likes the East, they are the only provinces dumb enough to vote for you

The only worthwhile or notable features of Canada is its wilderness. We have many great places to go outdoors the rest is garbage.

>tfw landed a "good" job in New buttswick making 15$ an hour
>Literally almost no one makes more than me at 22 despite having a bachelor's in business
>literally bored out of my fucking skull all the time
>Not sure if I want to move to make more money or live in cozy maritimes but live a life of mediocrity

>Just imagine Vancouver with less people and no Chinese

le weed man just made TFW rules even easier

Canadian companies no longer have to even show that they attempted to find canadians to fill job vancancies

jfmsuf

>see more and more hijabis walking the street everyday with their children
>See white people walking their dogs

really makes you think

>bachelor's in business
well there's your problem

That's like asking whats life like in Europe

Canada is fucking big. Some parts of great, some parts are shit. Although you will never get people to agree which are which. Provinces and cities talk shit about each other constantly, it's basically a Canadian pastime

Harper ignored us for a decade, the quality of life in the East visibly decreased even further during his reign and we were desperate

>yes I kind of regret voting for weedman but there was nothing better

Don't trade you happiness for money user it's not worth it, I know this from experience. Be happy with what you have.

You have to be kidding me, it's a really useful degree in Canada that lands you good jobs. I'm also bilingual so I'm applying for Federal jobs reserved for the Canadian Imperial bilingual race

Generally a northward extension of the US with generic North American culture except quebec which has a different language like how the southwest US speaks Spanish :^)

A bit uglier due to climate, I remember February-April being the "Mud season" where everything is muddy and grey with snow covered in salt, brine and road gunk. Your car should be allwheel drive. A lot of people forgot this especially the Poo in loo immigrant families (which have taken over S. Ontario btw

I am from Ontario so it's the most generic place.

>trusting the liberal party

>What's life like in Canada?
Better than yours

I have nothing. Now I have money and nothing. Getting money is the only thing that makes me sorta happy.

>Quebec
>Imperial

WOT?

it's quite literally the definition of a meme degree dude. all the dumbass chads who can't get by in other fields take it. if you don't have connections you're basically fucked, as you're experiencing now

I'm an out of quebec frenchy so I have to vote for the libs or get REMOVED

Depending on the specialty it's a good degree.

If you go into Accounting and Finance you can land good jobs and you can get a cheap degree and then focus on your CPA, CFA or CFP which is on the same level as a masters in terms of job prospects and salary.

then get an accounting or finance degree right off the bat and don't bother with being lumped with the retarded dude weed business students

But I have connections and I'm not fucked, I make relatively good money and I'm only 4 months out of my degree

I also did a tonne of shit outside my degree that makes me a better hire, I'm not a retard like 60% of admin graduates.

I never once said anything about quebec you dunce

That's what business studies is though.

You go into Business studies and pick a specialty

But some of the specialties aren't really important. If you go in finance or accounting especially you really need the respective degree. For the most part the rest is influence.

Not everyone specializes and not are specializations are special at all.

Do you speak English with a funny accent? Is it obvious that you're French Canadian?

That's generally what it is though. Business Studies in Accounting is the same as a Bachelor of Accounting

>relatively good money
>15/hr
dude I'm in 2nd year of cs and at my internship I'll be making 19/hr, meanwhile you're getting 15/hr after graduating?

It depends on who you are and if you're educated enough in accents.

People with a good ear can pick up I have a french "twang" even brits. But my "twang" is common here and even local anglos can't tell save for my Mediteranean appearance.

Americans can tell I'm not American and tell me I sound canadian.

Big city canadians are all immigrants with slightly funny accents anyway and can't tell at all.

I have an absolutely savage accent in french and I sound like I'm kinda anglo AND I'm straight out of medieval france.

And where do you live? He lives in the maritimes which means his cost of living is low as fuck

It depends on the province. You can live pretty well in NB on 15$/hr. I'm poised for raises anyway. I know it's nothing for most of Canada but it's livable in NB.

Canacucks don't really understand just how poor the maritimes can get.

ottawa senpai, can't be that much more expensive than say halifax or st john

>Do you speak English with a funny accent?
Is there a problem whit that?

Halifax and St-john are the most expensive places in the Maritimes by far, and literally the only two places that can hold a candle to the big central canadian cities.

For example. Me and my friend had a big 2 bedroom appartment in the center of town. 810$/month all included.... meaning we paid 410$ each.

yeah if you speak like a "frenchy" people will treat you like you're literally retarded and you won't even get good jobs if anglos are the managers. I've ironed out my accent since I was a kid.

My grandma was irish and she was sent to an anglo boarding school to get rid of her accent and learn to behave like an anglo.

It is quite a bit, you dont really understand just how cheap the maritimes are.

numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=Canada&city1=Ottawa&country2=Canada&city2=Saint John's

Also just move to a smaller city and you save even more money

I don't have a problem with it

No, I'm just curious

I said st john not st john's nigger

ok, fair enough. business degrees are still memes tho.

Man we don't oppress French-Canadians. You're not going to not get hired because you have an accent. You might if you can barley speak English but it's not because you're from Quebec. Stop this meme.

This is really not true at all, sounds like more frenchy victim complex shit desu

All your post make me so angry, I can't even find a pic to represent it. Be strong friend. I understand why Québecois are so protective with French language now.

Not that user but AFAIK st john is a city inhabited by the anglo upper class of NB and is probably a good deal more expensive for that reason alone

Also most non-maritimers are pretty mixed up with our cities so it was a safe bet you meant St-Johns.

Oh. Well, I don't know what to think now.

we were talking about NB not newfoundland though

He's lying

anglos in DENIAL. Unless ofcourse you come from a multiculti city ofcourse, yeah being french-ish won't hold you back by comparison.

Look all around you at the at the "kind of dumb" guys and girls at your work place who have a thick french accent. They are at the lower end for a reason. They have been led their whole lives to believe they are dumb for reasons they don't understand.

Sure there are work areas that won't discriminate like blue collar jobs and ironically government, but otherwise the accent will make you sound and feel dumb around anglos after a certain point in the food chain.

Here's your (You). Lying gelatinous sodomite.

Where are you from then? NB? Are French a real minority presence anywhere else but northern ontario?

I'll admit that french can be just as shitty with ethnic nepotism though.

W-what is happening guys?
Please stop the war.

and by thick french accent I don't mean a french accent.. I mean like a THICC one.. if it's thick you get kind of fucked for jobs IMO

ALLAHU AKBAR

>implying frogs don't get benefits and preferitism up the wazoo due to government bilingual requirements

I'm from Thunder bay. I work with a French Canadian and we're bros outside of work too.

My first gf was mexican and came here for 5 months on an exchange. She said before she came here she thought canada was a happy place where people got along

HA

they only flooded canada with immigrants to stop the country splitting apart

iunno maybe it's different there.

I did actually acknowledge that's true a few times in this thread.. at least for government jobs.

The jobs are only here for the cheap bilingual phone slavery anyway.

Suuuuure

I mean ofcourse english and french are friends here... but it's like having a couple of muslims in the neighbourhood vs the neighbourhood being 40% muslim

I mean it's not nearly as bad as with muslims but you get my point. 1 ethnic person is exotic. 1000 is an invasion.

why are anglos so in denial that this country is perpetually in conflict? I'm a federalist myself but it's literally only a matter of time until this country breaks apart because of differences and you might live to see it. The anglo denial is only speeding up the process

la la la I can't hear you.

you in Vic city mane?

sorry if I offended you ladm8. I still like anglos despite everything I said :3

Now let us say meditate on the wisdom of our glorious leader, Emperor Trudeau II

>sorry if I blablablablabbla
>A Canadian say "sorry"
>What's new?

Well it could have ended up different FRANCE

>I still like anglos despite everything I said :3
<
Sorry for this btw I'm just *a bit* drunk.

I'm done shitposting, night y'all

Was just looking at the world's most livable city list, my city is ranked 5th shared with Calgary.

What Calgary like my dudes.

F-france is drunk right now. Please forgive your parent. It will never happen again, I-i promise.

Well, ok. Goodnight man.

It's really shit, the weather is god awful

Cowboys and chinks. Smaller than Toronto and Vancouver. It's still Nice enough. It used too be the zurich of Canada then fell off map.

Yes

Why?

The perspective of one who has only lived in Ontario is a bit of a skewed one, since although the province's culture is extremely similar to the northern U. S., it's pretty much the only one that is.

becoz
