autism

Shit airflow cases that look "rad" and "hip", as if the PCs were on display in an art exhibition but only satisfy a gaymur's obsession with colors like a kid.

>idle

idle temps are meaningless, you should know this

It doesn't go above 70 playing games, so we still good.

>still needing cooling at all

Talk about going backwards.

Liquid cooling is a meme.

Water and electronics don't mix.

>idle
Also that takes fuckhuge space, I probably coudn't install one to my mATX mobo.

My shit idles at 55c.

What now?

Depends on a lot of variables, some people want lower noise, better cooling at high loads, or something that doesn't weight a ton screwed in the mobo.

The reason I use a 280mm radiator on top of my case instead of a big ass noctua / similar tier air cooler is to free the area around the CPU for better cooling of the other components and also to reduce the strain on the motherboard.
Putting a thermalright ultra extreme (the full copper version) is kinda hard on the mobo since that shit weights almost 2 kilos.

I still got the heatsink stored in a box tho if my pump dies or some other shit.

See a doctor, that's not healthy.

Fuck that asshole must feel really hot.

I don't think water cooling makes sense anymore. back in the day it did bring benefits in terms of cooling, noise and overclocking. I've water cooled 3 of my computers, but for the last few years I've just stuck with air cooling.

Water cooling stopped making sense after heatpipes got good

which was 2008

Getting the caps around your mosfets to burn obviously.
Removing the air circulation from around the CPU socket is the prime feature of a CLC.

This.

Water is just a shittier alternative to heat pipes.

A custom loop is better at getting a GPU to STFU
But yeah yeah they're daft because price
CLCs are just daft

Your cooler is literally a meme cooler.

>muh air flow
Literal non issue, ever, faggot memelord. I challenge you to prove otherwise.

it all depends on your room temp, mine is currently 32c so it would be pretty hard for my cpu to idle at 22c

my average temp at idle on stock cooler is 29°C so I think what should be done in the first place is establishing that aftermarket cooling is a meme unless you're a videogame obsessed manchild.

Installing AIO's isn't fucking cancerous, that's why people buy them.

Not to mention that water coolers cost 100-120$ and pretty much ALL of them have shitty default fans (loud). So you'll have to buy new fans too which will cost you 20-40$. Meanwhile high-end Noctua goes for 60-85$, has high quality, very silent fans, easy to install etc.

Because water cooler lowers your room temperature retard.

Now overclock and emerge chromium

>32c

do you live on the sun? that's like 95 degrees F* holy shit

I installed my 212 evo in 3 minutes and I don't think it gets any worse than that asinine design.

My question is what the point of a liquid cooler if all the liquid just takes heat to another fan?

>air cooling is quieter
>performs as good as AIO's if you get a good one
>cheaper

Only reason to get an AIO is if you have space constraints, really. Wildly overrated.

Custom Loop is a different story, but that's never price efficient.

Do you know how radiators work user?

Why overclock it if it is already has the best singlecore in the market, together with its 6 cores in stock matching 1800x in multithreaded tasks and tests?

To brag to your friends about 5 nigga hurts

Why sit at 22C when you can sit at 45C and works the same?

>8700K @ stock
>gets almost 70C with NH-D15S
What a shitty job, Intel.

It's not about being the fastest. It's about being fast. If there's a way to be faster than you are now, make it so.

>matching 1800x in multithreaded tasks and tests
