I'm sorry to confirm it, but you're retarded.
Pretty sure he's referring to SATA-Express.
Which is dead and I never saw a single drive for it.

Isn't that AppleTM Display PortTM?
Connectors are going out of fashion, wireless is literally the future and a more convenient since you don't have to worry about cable management and worry about untangling wires as well. You heard it here first Sup Forums, be prepared for wireless to take over your pathetic cables and connectors soon

No. It isn't.
>Connectors are going out of fashion, wireless is literally the future and a more convenient
Just had a counter-example a day or so ago.
GF wanted to use her Jabra BlueTooth earphones with her phone rather than the tablet she usually uses them with.
Couldn't get them to pair. Apparently you need to get the pairing cancelled by the tablet before the earphones can pair with something else. Difficult as we were travelling at the time and the tablet was at home.
She just plugged the earphones into the phone.
Wires - 1. Wireless - 0.

Idk what shitty media production company you've worked with, but all the hardware jndeal with hasn't had FireWire since 2009

Oh boy, sure glad Gigabyte decided to put this useless port on my board instead of something actually useful.

wireless may be the future, but in the present the majority of wireless things are a pile of bull shit
It even takes the space of two sata ports.
Your YouTube vlog doesn't count.
you're right, but I think wireless power will be the next big jump, I think it'll come into its own in the next 20-30 years
>wireless may be the future, but in the present the majority of wireless things are a pile of bull shit
You just proved my point, therefore your argument is pointless
this.
3,5mm jack is so fucking '90s, grandpas should get over this lossy audio connector
what is an example of a lossless audio connector?
lies. no bluetooth earphones will refuse pairing with a new device. they don't "lock" the connection to the device they are currently paired with.
I'd sure hope so, it's pretty shit.
Luckily CBC isn't as poor as me.
here you go.
it only costs $9 so i'm sure you can afford it, unless you're poor
3,5mm jack is so fucking '90s, grandpas should get over this lossy audio connector
?
but doesnt that just convert a 3.5mm headphone jack into a appleshit port?
what did he mean by this
>dongle sounds worst than what it was trying to replace
no you get to buy new apple ibuds
ironic that Sup Forums buys external DACs but whines when Apple switches to an external DAC. If you don't like Apple's adapter, buy someone else's with better specs.
People by external DACs for PCs for good reason, in-built motherboard audio can be shit if not engineered right. High power PC components can generate alot of noise and the noise can find it's way to the audio circuit.
Phones are much more low power and run off a battery so they don't have to deal with high power draw ICs causing noise on the audio circuit so a external DAC just doesn't make sense.
and yet many phones' DACs are shit.
I feel you OP SATA is bullshit

You're a troll or a massive moron.
>lossy audio connector
The fuck are you talking, moron?
SAS is completely overkill for anything not server related, SATA sucks but it does the job.
But man I'd still get excited if it became available for non-business consumers.
Same poster of last one
why i'm using parallel SCSI drives (15k 300GB U320)
Also I think mobos should just have SAS/SAS controllers instead of just SATA, then the people who want can use SAS, those who don't can use SATA.
>so fucking '90s
Eighteen nineties, to be precise. That fucker has been around for a looooooong time.
As cool as that would be, I'm pretty sure nobody would use the SAS functionality because of how expensive the drives are.
Fair point, but I guess for now we're stuck with $30-100 6Gb/s SAS HBAs
gonna have to daisy-chain a second
