Best eDPI is around 800-1000, unless you like acceleration or scaling.

i use 400 dpi. in fps games i like 30cm/360 with no accel.

My mouse is like 14 years old and 400 DPI. I don't use Windows and as far as I know my "sensitivity" in software is basically just native/unmodified... meaning 400 DPI is actually 400 DPI and the software isn't fucking with that.
