I'm guessing you want to live happily forever with your loyal, loving, but intelligent 2D anime waifu in some simulated world? Probably not going to happen in our lifetimes, but I wouldn't be surprised if we get something in that spirit in desktop assistant form. That program may simulate a cute 2D anime waifu that actually learns over time using some sort of machine learning algorithm under the hood.

If we could 3D print waifu robo parts, we'd be 90% of the way to making anime real.

Think of holodecks as VR but without the bulky head gear and with much real realistic settings/motion generally better than what's current with VR in every way. Just think, could have your very own holodeck version of Taylor swift or any other person/thing programmed with there real personality profile but with quick command vanish into nothingness.
