Ask any professional in the graphics industry what card they use. Nobody ever uses AMD because it's unreliable. Similar with games, NVidia dominate the GPU gaming market because their drivers are actually good.

having nvidia requires you few times a year to deal with their bullshit as the kernel updates or your DE updates or their drivers update or you get some quirks because of unstandard way they do stuff

sure they get some small extra FPS with their closed source stuff, but many prefer stability and simplicity over small fps gain.

anyway, safest and best are intel gpus, would love me some dedicated one with ryzen
AMD made huge improvement and they are go-to recommended to linux users now, especially with wayland support in mind and freesync and all that stuff.
