My browser stated doing this weird thing where it won't let any other windows appear in front of it. Why is it doing this and how do I get it to cut it out?

When I want to download music from obscure (not saying tumblr is obscure but the chink sites I use are) streaming sites I just use the Inspect Element tool, switch to the Network tab and watch for any mp3 or audio file being transferred, copy its url and open in a new tab + save element as.
