Intel must be scared to start capitalizing on nostalgia.

I like that the citation notes section is bigger than the entire article. It's almost as if the entire article is nothing but lies.

I prefer Pentium Platinumâ„¢ over Gold and Silver

Intel just gave up. Fair enough.

PLS BUY INTEL

>bentium :D
i though this meme had died with the anniversary one

>netburst platinum

So pentium gold is above celeron but pentium silver is below?

These "Pentium" Silvers are rebadged mobile Atom crap. The Bristol Ridge stuff AMD uses to fill out the low end of AM4 right now would be much faster.

Literally no one should buy this garbage.

Pentium Gold = Kaby Lake microarchitecture

Pentium Silver = Goldmont Plus microarchitecture

Celeron is lowest tier in Intel's hierarchy

Why not

It would be nice in a 50 dollar NUC!

Does Bristol Ridge have HEVC Main10 8K & VP9 10bit 8K hardware decoding & native HDMI 2.0 support? No? Fuck off then

Stupid motherfucker moron like you shouldn't exist

>intel thinks silver is gold

Thanks AMD

Neat, I was waiting for these to come out to replace my dead A4-5000 mobo.
>b-b-but muh Pootel
AMD has given up on their sub-25W TDP SOC architecture. Puma+ was the last gasp, and no motherboards exist for it outside of tablets, AIOs, and some shitty HPs. These low-TDP chips make excellent IoT/home automation servers and routers.

Why exactly do you need lower than 25W? 4 Core Ryzen 3 or 5 with boost disabled and some undervolt tweaking require less than 30W. Same can be done with current Intel SKUs.

Lower heat output for a closet/cabinet with little ventilation. My A4-5000 heatsink didn't even have a fan on it and it still ran well (until a power surge killed the mobo). It doesn't hurt that I can run these mobos off of a picoPSU.

>4 Core Ryzen 3 or 5 with boost disabled and some undervolt tweaking require less than 30W
The problem with low-TDP desktop CPUs is that they're still not ideal for a fanless case or running in low-ventilation environments. I'd love to use Ryzen for my router, but
>a Ryzen 3 1200 costs more than a Celeron J3455 mobo
>a Ryzen 3 1200 at 1.0V still uses more power than a Pentium J4205
>a router doesn't need that much horsepower, and it's a waste of power, money, and potential

...

Your mother is a cunt whore? Everyone already knows that, faggot

enjoy your backdoors

I fucked your dad last night and your dog

There are backdoors in all AMD CPUs since 2011. Why do you think Libreboot doesn't recommend AMD CPUs either?

>am literally cannot compete under the $100 price point
Top kek, twist the knife Intel.

I never stopped regreting buying an fx chip. So glad i trashed my fx 6300 for the 8400.
