Thailand is better in every way. Everything is affordable, people are friendlier, dress code is lax and there's always something to do. You also won't stick out like a sore thumb for being foreign. Just off the top of my head, I can tell you Singaporeans are ruder and everything is overpriced while Malaysians are getting more durka by the day.

Services and assistance for foreigners are much more readily available here and we also have a better nightlife than anywhere else on the continent.

I visited Tokyo last year. I can not help but admit that Japan is a kind of better version of Korea. But I felt that the difference was coming from both countries' infrastructure gap that was mostly built in 60~70s when Japan was already the first world country and Korea was the third world shithole.
