It doesn't have systemd

Pretty sure you can do a Debian netinstall avoiding systemd completely. Look it up.
devuan is doa. It's been a year since debian 9 release and devuan is still based on jessie.
let's just say they had a good run.
But dev1galaxy sometimes reads like satire. I honestly expected a distribution based on such elaborate philosophy that most don't care about.
I ended up on a forum where people ask for tutorials on how to install devuan on CP/M machines from the 80s becayse they dislike systemd this much.
udev depends on systemd now
Devuan is abandonned.
Void is the new thing! It is not based on anything. And has a musl version
If you're on arch you'll like Void better.
That sucks
I was hoping to get onto something more stable. Arch eats more time than I'd like it too. Is Void the same?
>Is Void the same?
I never really had any issues with arch to be honest. So far with void the only things I had to fix manually were :
1. Boot partition was full, had to boot into a live CD, chroot into my system and delete old images
2. Linux kernel regression which caused a visual glitch but it's only on my 32bit netbook from 2009 so not that big of an issue. I just installed the LTS kernel and now it's good again.

void or gentoo (dont install gentoo on a thinkpad, if you arent using distcc). imo, void musl is the best option. gentoo is better if you want to tinker a lot, but void requires less manual maintenance. once you setup void, you can pretty much forget it and it just werks.
Both RunIT and OpenRC are good and easy to use. I think RunIT is just a bit faster. In my experience, both void and gentoo are more stable than arch (i know that arch doesnt constantly break but it breaks more often).

>But that’s not all: Together with the statistics we’re starting to improve password security! Every Void system will get a PAM service that sends your password to one of our secured Amazon cloud servers and check it there against our password policies. We hope to use this information to help our users become as secure as they can be.
is this serious?

I love how people still get tricked by this.

In what way does it affect your life, user?
triggers my autism everytime I think about it
Devuan
Devuan is not abandoned, jessie six months ago, ascii RC1 in a few weeks
All those Debian packages, easily installed with apt
Windows 8 unironically.
