but in the business world who in there right mind is going to invest in computers from a company that never gives a roadmap and may or may not upgrade there computers when intel and co being out a new product.

Some kind of modern spin on this idea would be kickass. Build a mixed USB-C/PCIe backplane, fill in the basic modules, leave a bunch of blanks, keep the shithead execs happy by selling single and double-width PCIe modules for a premium, open up to licensing for the few third-party Mac vendors still around, would be good shit.
