Nice Pinyin effort, Finn bro! 1. The word you are looking for is "绝对"(absolute), in Pinyin it's "juedui". 2. It's not set in stone per se, but if you want to progress beyond chicken scratch, it's better to follow the order. t. Chinese.
Aiden Rogers
News media requires perfect mandarin pronuncication so that's safe bet. I like to watch Chinese Perspective once a week for that. youtube.com/watch?v=wOkvQr2Trt0 You also could maybe find good drama in Viki to get hooked. "Love me if you dare" is excellent. Stupid english name, 他来了,请闭眼 literally means "He is coming, please close eyes" referring to psycho murderer. English names to Chinese shows and movies are curiously always translated horribly.
He's right though. With that said, I agree 100% that peasant mandarin with 兒 added to every single word is horrible. However, in contrast to cantonese, mandarin can actually be beautiful :^)

Yueyu is slack and loose with its "gamaaaa, lei loulaaa fenmeieeee" kind of talking you know. Sometimes after watching some cantoshit movie I write lot of 啊啊啊啊啊啊 in muh tiebas, and speak hanyu like that. It's cool.
Samuel Lee
25 days in, almost at 1000 hanzi (recognized in words, no writing) Still pretty hard though. Looking forward to when I can just relax and watch tv shows and at least read the pronunciation of almost everything in the subs even if I don't know all the words.
Honestly maybe not anything too helpful. I'm cheating because, even if they aren't things I've seen before, I am very used to distinguishing them from learning some 日本语
Just use anki or your choice of SRS system, and at the very least write them out a few times when they include new radicals.
Also, this is somehwat obvious, but pay attention to phonetic components like the 人 in 认 and like 请清情青精晴
I also find it's a lot easier to remember pronunciation from audio, so do lots of listening even if it's just from Spoonfed Chinese
Benjamin Moore
哇~~你们的中文真棒的!
Brandon Peterson
I'm been doing spoonfed and nothing else for a week when should i do anything else?
