Don't phone manufacturers severely downclock the CPU anyways, to prevent overheating under stress? Seems like more cores on a phone won't really help.

What are you doing on your phone that you need that many cores? I barely use mine for anything other than maps, messaging and light browsing away from my PC.

Why does your phone need so many cores? I have an 8c16t CPU on my desktop computer because I actually do things with it, but my phone? Can't think of anything that would require more than four cores, truth be told I don't even know how many cores my phone has, it has never been a problem or concern for me.
