Does anyone know why the ublock filter update sometimes doesn't work properly? I had to update the ublock filter list at least 3-4 times while purging the cache and refreshing Sup Forums and restarting my browser until it finally got the script that was needed to block this shit. Which is weird because when I looked inside the filter, the lines previous to the script like the link to the original archived Sup Forums thread were added, just the script itself was missing. I always thought the filter lists are a simple txt that gets downloaded as it is on the server but apparently that's not how it works?

Ah, interesting, it's not there. I tried purge and update again and it's still not there. Actually, the filter was last updated 10-10-17, though other filters are up to date... Strange, I wonder why. Maybe something is preventing a connection somewhere. Well, it works if I add it manually, so it'll do for now.

Yup, and other filters, like all the adguards are up to date, just ublock filters.

My filter also says it was last updated 10 10 2017 even after updating it successfully and it now has the new script in it, so that's probably not the problem. It's strange but I had to purge browser cache, go back to Sup Forums, open some thread, then update the filter again a few times and then it worked.

No idea why it's having so much trouble adding this one line of code into the filter because if you open it and search for Sup Forums, it does add all the other lines of text that preceed the script immediately. So it's definitely updating the filter, it just leaves out the essential line of script for some reason.

I've had adblockers disabled on Sup Forums for years, but this is the last straw. Good job burning that bridge Hiro.

the problem was never blocking it, everyone using ublock, umatrix or noscript did that just fine. The problem was getting the inline script to stop breaking the site, which only the ublock filter does because it doesn't block the domains, it blocks the script that tries to load them in the first place.

I tried this, but it didn't do anything for me. You're right though, ublock says it update 9 minutes ago when you hover over it. I checked the file and only the websocket filter is there, still. I don't know what's holding it up.

Maybe I'll purge them the "manual" way from the profile folder.

one other thing you could try is to clear the filter cache, restart your browser and then just wait for half an hour or so until ublock has downloaded the filter updates by itself.

amgload and puiguiqproxy still show up as "green" connections in ublock when I start Firefox and Sup Forums. Later they disappear.

And yes, I updated the ublock filter and blocked those sites in umatrix too. Wonder what I'm doing wrong?

there are 2 other malicious domains which your noscript doesn't seem to catch at all. Unless you also use ublock and they are being filtered there.

Why is it that my css keeps breaking even with the new ublock filter?

I was using the uBlock Origin update assuming it fixed the issue. It seemed to have for about a day until I started to see this bullshit again, except this time the sites are allowed. They most definitely were not allowed last time. I feel like they are actively updating their script to bypass these fixes.

For me, the sites I want blocked aren't showing up immediately like last time. They seem to start showing up once you've had the page/thread opened for about an hour and you've gotten "comfortable" with it.

I would update, but I'm too scared of something about it changing.

same here, Purge and Update Now do not bring in the updated Sup Forums line changes ftom UBlock filters. Firefox 57, Windows 8, UBlock, UMatrix, Tampermonkey with Sup Forums X and the anti cancer script. The usual four domains in My filters.
What did work was start a fresh browser profile, then update filters works.
