I think our laws have an exception for people we know of similar age when they gave you the pictures willingly. And I would assume you don't risk ending up in prison for taking pictures of yourself, like you do in for example USA.

And the laws are confusing too. They ban all fictional porn of people who are either younger than 18, or who could be younger than 18. How does this interact with fanfiction? Does canon come into play? If I write a pornographic Harry Potter fanfiction taking place in a Hogwarts setting, could I defend myself saying it's an alternative, non-canon universe where people go to Hogwarts after they are 18? Or would it follow canon strictly, and you'd go to prison for production of CP?

Also, does it apply retroactively? If I wrote an MLP fanfiction, and then the show revealed that the characters actually are younger than 18, would I become guilty of making CP even if they weren't when I made it? Does word of the creator count or only the work itself? What about cases where Japanese games changes the ages of the characters from the Japanese to the English version?

According to Norwegian CP laws, I believe most ponies are legal, but CMC would be illegal and considered CP.

EqG is set in high school so by going that they would be 16-18, but since it's just one big commercial for the doll line I don't think it counts.

I don't think it can be used for making conclusions about canon pony ages, but I think if you write EqG fanfiction, it is relevant. Because there is an EqG canon too, even if you don't like it. Even fanfiction have a canon inside themselves.

Indonesia bans all production of pornography but there's no laws against the sale and distribution of it, including CP. This basically means you cannot operate a porn studio in Indonesia, but you can sell it all day long.
