My production doubles when they let me work from home but they refuse to allow server techs to use Linux for productivity like lower overhead, browser stability, better hotkeys like autokey, better workspace management, native bash terminals that dont suck, and a more customizable UI to display only what is neeeded. I love when I have clients yelling at me and windows bluescreens or forces shutdown for automatic updates.

Looking for a new job desu. Its a game killer cause theyre throttling my production which results in lower bonuses.

To be fair linux is shit in two departments - Drivers & Time.

Drivers - This mostly concerns graphic cards and it will not get better any time soon. Quite the turn off for those, who do something with computer graphics, for example, or enjoy fancy looking games.

Time - GNU\LInux is a major time sink for a regular user.


There might be some trying to bullshit their way out of the graphic-card thing, but it's easly to bet screwed in that department. Majority of those who are stroking their dicks and screaming they are totally fine - using propriety drivers anyway.
