How true is this.
How true is this
works on my machine
I have YouTube red
Haven't had any problems on YT with my filters but it has failed to block some Twitch ads. Not sure if they were embedded.
I've gotten a few youtube ads. Pornhub too.
Never had this happened to me personally.
Still entirely ad free everywhere
I use ABP and it blocks everything.
Install uMatrix
I use both, faam.
When you say youtube ads, do you mean the video ads on the front of your video?
I found the userscript.js for this stopped it right away. I've been told it's not neccesary anymore, but I still left it installed.
/what/frens fugg me in thhe anuse XP
haven't seen any youtube ads slip through the filters at all. That said, I don't know if it's a specific filter that is blocking the ads or the fact that the url called "googleadservices" is being blocked by default.
I just stream through mpv. Plus, even if I did use my web browser, I have Hooktube redirect installed.
kek are you high
No I'm not. I made that post fully aware of what I'm doing. What's astonishing is that its intent is lost on you.
>blocking youtube ads
>when youtube ads rank among the least intrusive
If you really want to watch your videos without ads jsut use youtube-dl
Why
EPIC for "teh" lulz, my friend! ( - :
werks on my machine
Just use youtube-dl
dunno, I only use uMatrix which fails to block ads on yt
yesterday I even got 2 ads after each other, never happened before
No ads here
mpv+youtube-dl masterrace
not true at all for youtube
porn sites have snuck some through
Completely untrue.
Give me a site. I bet you allow scripts that arent needed.
>30 second video ad
>least intrusive
I switched to using livestreamer agian, integrated it in to the command line so I can open any stream from the run window
probably true, but I don't really feel like going for autism over a 10 second delay to watching porn
because porn sites use native ads
you can't block native ads
(btw buy Joanne on iTunes)
>10 second delay
>don't really feel like going for autism

Thats why you block all scripts except ones needed for thumbnails. Then you stream using an actual media player.
sure if i was that starved due to a data cap but im not so idc about 2 images
Only ads to actually bypass were Twitch, and that is likely because they are serving that content directly
It's completely false. Works perfectly fine on Firefox and has worked since forever
Thats not the only reason to do it. But whatever, normies gunna norm.
User error.
Tech illiterates deserver ad's.
>normies
i love that they've (you included) co opted this term :)
and if there were any better reasons you would have listed them without relying on an external search query but alas here you are
Works on my machine™
>spoonfeed me
No, you do what you want.
The real question is why has adaway stopped working and I now get ads literally everywhere and is there a replacement
Enjoy your ads, normie.
Just clear the filters' cache and then update the list
Good goy.
i'm not sure, i don't execute any of the js included/linked on all youtube pages. every thing is client side injected, even the player
>30 second ads that play in HD no matter what my preferences are on mobile
yep sure isn’t intrusive
Any reason why UO does not block ads on porn websites automatically, whereas shit like Adblock does? Pretty sure I run updated filters, and can block individually, but it's much more troublesome. Any clue as to what I'm doing wrong?
>Any clue as to what I'm doing wrong?
Not all filters are enabled by default
Allowing certain scripts by default
Have you tried not being a retard?
Can livestreamer also grab sports streams, Greg?
>watching the steroid jew
I use Brave. No ads except on whitelisted stuff.
