Name a more aesthetic laptop. Go on, I dare you.

>glossy

I want a laptop that’ll last for longer than 8 months.
Oh wow. I actually thought it was an older ThinkPad from the thumbnail, so I was going to rack my brain for a legitimate response. What is the point of posting this? There's no way you even believe yourself that new ThinkPads look better.
If I have to exclude ThinkPads, the Let's Note series looks pretty good.
...
...
Do you work in especially harsh conditions? Even shit from literal Walmart should last that long without much issue, assuming you're running a unix-like OS and the only that that would fail is the hardware.
yes
...
...
Very nice. Have you got any pictures of the inside? I saved the pictures from an old /tpg/, I didn't even know the model name.
not the insides as in the parts, but here it is open

>>Name a more autistic laptop. Go on, I dare you.
FTFY
Huawei Matebook X
that's just a walmart shitbox with a thinkpad logo on it
so pretty much anythin
Yeah, that's what I wanted. Thanks.
specs if youre interested.
upgraded the cpu and the wifi card.
Oh wow. A bit older than I thought. Thanks for this. To tell you the truth, I was hoping this was somewhat new, to make up for ThinkPad design going down the drain. Do you know much about newer Dell business laptops? Have they gone downhill in the same way that ThinkPads have?
Done.
im pretty sure the new thinkpads, elitebooks/zbooks (HP), and latitude/precision (dell) are all pretty good in terms of reliability and repairability.
i would check out notebookcheck for reviews. they do a pretty thorough review of everything, including maintenance.
i do wish they continued the e6400/10 design language. sexiest laptop ever made.
That keyboard is perfection.
why not both?
Because MacBooks are garbage.
On Sup Forums, everything sucks until NEETs can afford it with Good Boy Points. A few years ago it was the T60. They're currently stuck with the ThinkPad T420.
t. wagecuck
>implying
t440s. will be replaced whenever the raven ridge thinkpads are released
The toughbooks?
Lmao
I have strange taste.
This is one of those issues where you have to remember Sup Forums is not one person. The T420 is a good ratio of price/performance and one of the last models with a good keyboard. To a normie or someone who is only barely into Sup Forums stuff, it seems like the perfect choice, but to the more seasoned posters (no offense intended here), the T420 is not ideal because it has yet to be freed properly. You can put Libreboot on a T60, but not a T420. There is a middle ground, of course, everything up to the X200/T500 can be librebooted as well. The T60 is also kind of the opposite side of the scale as the T420, in it that it's the oldest ThinkPad many people can stand to use without going out of their way to make everything run better on it.
I personally first purchased a T60p. At the time I knew the T60 was recommended and that the p made it more powerful. I didn't know about libreboot at the time, and that simply having that ATI GPU in there disqualified me from using libreboot. Later on I also fell for the T420/X220T memes. Now that I've been here longer, I wish I had studied up a bit more so I could have a fully free machine.
If you are okay with the T420, though, it's still going pretty strong. You can even put a better CPU and screen it in from newer ThinkPads, ending up with a 1080p ips panel and an ivy bridge 45w quadcore i7. It all depends on your goal, I guess. I wish more people on Sup Forums were pushing libreboot.
>Windows Phone
I haven't got much to say here... At least it has a keyboard.
>that laptop
The handle looks extremely comfy. You could carry it like a briefcase without needing a separate case, I bet.
that's not how you fucking use the word aesthetic, i'm really sick of you underage retards throwing this word around
...
what model is this?
Actually what is that. That computer looks like pure sex.
No, only the T60, X60, X200, and T400 can be libebooted. Not the T43, T61, X41, X61, or X201, or anything older than the T60. It's retarded.
Given that Lenovo 25 Annyversary Ed.won’t be sold in Europe, anyone could pls suggest which kind of model to buy between their series?
Between a new T470p or T470s?
pure thinkpad kino
>modern thinkpad
>windows 10
fucking normies get out of my board
/thread
hows the keyboard?
Thats probably the most disgusting thinkpad ive seen
...
>Crystal Pepsi
WTF? I thought it died out in 1994
This is the worst Chad vs virgin memes I've ever seen.

please make good laptops again
thanks
Both are 16:9 trash
>glossy screen AND glossy bezels
Absolutely disgusting
x200s/x201s w/o touchpad forever
ROMAN MY COUSIN LET'S GO HACKING
I like the impractial 1st gen with the flappy door more. My vote goes to the RZ10 though, I have a fetish for useless practicality.
They started making it again.
>running reason
my nigga
The X201 is basically an X210, right? So it makes sense to me that it doesn't have support. I didn't remember the T61 and X61 didn't have libreboot, and I guess I wasn't even thinking about the stuff older than the T60.
>implying that thinkpads are aesthetic
they are actually quite ugly. Still god tier laptops, though.
Get a P51.
It's back now, but it's not very good. I didn't have it the first time around, but it has little flavor and is extremely carbonated.
I wish this was an option on more models. I disable it in the BIOS on every ThinkPad I own, but I would still like to have it gone.
Thinkpad X220 is quite neat too
What part of them do you find ugly? I unironically have always found them attractive. They have a more clean and straight look than the average consumer laptop, and they feel higher quality.
a fucking brick would be more aesthetic than this
Every Lenovo product, EVERY FUCKING LENOVO product I've ever been around has developed a strange hardware issue. Shit like resting your palm on the palm rest causing keystrokes and cursor movements to be registered, laptops randomly not POSTing, headsets not registering correctly. All kinds of weird shit. These were all the Thinkpad commercial line, we're not talking about the $600 black Friday special Best Buy garbage. I don't know why so many people swear by them. They fucking suck.
I only even buy used ones and I haven't had any issues like that.
... did you buy a thinkpad to run botnet 10 on it? are you literally fucking retarded?
Weird. both my black friday special g50-80 and my t420 just werk.
1st gen core i5/i7, so no librebutt
Yeah, so equivalent in age to a T410/W510. Libreboot just isn't on that new of stuff yet. I'm not sure if we'll see them getting support along with the **20 ThinkPads, or if they'll be skipped.
>grease-covered keys
LMAO
>They have a more clean and straight look
they actually don't.
Almost every part is over designed: punching (or how do you call that?) near arrow keys, strangely shaped mouse buttons, etc.
>butthurt applefag making shit up
right thats why the use Macbook Pro on the ISS, because thinkpads are garbage
P51
I'm more fond of X1 Yoga, though Carbon is also a good choice.
Compare it to something like an HP Pavillion. I mostly mean the outer shape, but the inner shape as well.
...
My classic keyboard'd T430
oh my god this is pure sex
did you spill acid on your keyboard
>chiclet keyboard
>glossy screen
I know, it's shit. I bought it recently and it was like this. I was going to buy a new keyboard anyway because I want the US layout.
>:)
X1 Yoga
looks like legos
:^)
Dell latitude e7450, thinner, better battery life, better screen, better thermals and noise.
