Whoa. I thought you guys were just memeing about FSRCNNX being better than NGU... T-thanks, igv.
Adrian Morris
bump
Tyler Collins
I made a repo with some info to expand on the mvi configuration from haasn, if you have feedback let me know. There's not much yet but I have plans to fill it up. github.com/occivink/mpv-image-viewer
Nolan Moore
What is this?
Josiah Lewis
It's just a bunch of config and stuff to use mpv as an image viewer, to replace feh, sxiv or the windows picture viewer.
This shit requires flash though which I don't have. How can I open these streams on MPV?
Juan Nguyen
Is this any good? Or how else would I go about easily opening Youtube links in mpv?
Gavin Wilson
Open With was pretty good, but sadly Firefox 57 broke it.
Tyler Perez
someone should break mozilla imo
Christian Russell
Yeah I saw that. Seems like Send to mpv is the only one remaining now.
Lincoln Allen
How do I create and save a playlist on mpv?
In media player classic I can save a playlist as an mpcpl file that I can save on my computer and watch the same playlist at any time. So does mpv have something like that?
So i just tested them and r1_16 does indeed look better than r2_8 but for some reason r1_24 and r1_32 don't seem to do anything at all. What could be the problem?
Julian Moore
Has anyone tried making a URI for mpv so it opens youtube videos in firefox with mpv automatically?
I tried making one myself like this but I can't get it to work.
Gavin Garcia
>Stable: profile=opengl-hq >Git: profile=gpu-hq what if I don't have a gpu but I'm using git?
Justin Myers
wait. that's not really the logo is it? oh god.
Blake Nelson
What's wrong with the logo?
Angel Morgan
use it
Jace Russell
Made a small script for this, put it in /usr/bin/ and run "sudo chmod +x" on it #!/bin/bash mpv $(xclip -o)
All you have to do is highlight a link and then do "Alt+F2" and type in the name of it, or you could make a keybinding for it in your DE / WM's settings
James Taylor
Meant to quote Also checked
Parker Powell
open with still works fine
Camden Bell
>rotate-video: rotate the video in 90 degrees increment It works fine
Aaron Campbell
To expand on what these two are saying: Open With only requires you to download and run a script on your system in order to make it work again. On Linux I simply put it in ~/.mozilla and run it.
UNIX Philosophy: Do one thing and do it well. mpv doesn't need a file picker since your DE already has a file manager. If you don't want that, use a frontend. I recommend gnome-mpv it's just as simple but has just enough fluff for mpv to be tolerable for a mouse-pleb.
Oliver Rogers
Can you no longer choose the audio codec you want to use on the webm script by monkey?
Kevin Phillips
>he doesn't use
Kevin Williams
nevermind editing the profiles worked
Jeremiah Hernandez
Is RAVU going to beat NGU-AA? Bjiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin
Carson Mitchell
No
Ethan Gutierrez
Ah I see, thanks user.
Colton Cook
It does in anime content. Just assume it, madvrfags.
Lucas Murphy
I prefer mpv to anything+madvr but NGU AA is the only scaler capable of fully removing aliasing in the sources that really need it
Elijah Thompson
Is anime really that poorly drawn? Holy shit good thing I dont watch cartoons
Joshua Gomez
>rotate video Yeah, about that. How do you make MPV rotate in small increments like MPC-HC does using numpad keys?
Parker Wood
No. He has some weird shit quality rip.
Daniel Sanchez
`add rotate-video 1 ` or something.
Christian Stewart
I've used VLC for several years now. Would someone care to redpill me on mpv (or smplayer)
Adrian Williams
I mean using hotkeys, not some commandline spell.
Christopher Ortiz
ctrl+r cycle_values video_rotate "90" "180" "270" "0" Put that in input.conf You can change ctrl+r to any key and you can change the degree to anything or add more.
Blake Lopez
Not 90 degree turns, you fuckwit. I mean like 5 or 10 degrees, like MPC-HC does.
Alexander Jones
`ctrl+r add video_rotate 10` then
Brayden Perry
Truly the best video player (with VLC). Especially on GNU/Linux.
Jonathan Morris
>Shitty Dual Core, 2 GB, Intel HD 4000 Laptop
What config should I run?
Tyler Campbell
That's decent, you can probably do opengl-hq + interpolation
Carson Williams
I have i5-3320m cpu Thinkpad laptop, and it runs open-hp+interpolation without any trouble.
Ryder Gomez
It's just the DVD rip and the blu ray looks almost identical
Jaxson Wright
the BD is a horrible upscale though, it only looks better in action scenes because it's not MPEG-2 garbage like the DVD
Isaac Watson
how do I assign video files to be opened with mpv on osx from finder after installing it through brew?
Levi Campbell
Compute version of FSRCNNX when?
Thomas Campbell
lachsh0r released 0.28! Also he merged vulkan rev2 but not in the 0.28. Happy holydays or smt.
It closes mpv if you close the browser. Dumbest shit ever.
Ryder Parker
I haven't checked new open with but old one opened mpv as a child process of main browser, also in some systems it may not pick up system mpv config because firefox process is sandboxed etc.
Brody Adams
madvr looks better there
Nicholas Martin
No SantaHaasnClausMotionInterpolation algo... :(
Ryan Perry
eeks i haven't updated mpv like in 50 days because of ffmpeg and demux fuckeries. hopefully they are stabilized now
Isaac Powell
>vulkan rev2 Fucking finally. Thank the heavens.
Tyler Davis
well demuxer really works well with streaming now, neato
Josiah Hill
Oh yikes! ogm seeking bug is fixed too!
Charles Wilson
was lachs0r's newest build compiled without d3d11 support?
Jackson Flores
yeah, seems he fucked up the release
Cooper Rivera
yeah it feels like it's way better at dealing with my internet constantly shitting itself
Austin Rivera
Why?
Brandon Morales
>0.25.0 1227 commits >0.26.0 851 commits >0.27.0 604 commits >0.28.0 JUST Edition 24 commits Is mpv dying?
Justin Stewart
Something wrong on your side I guess
Gabriel Smith
I think he re-uploaded a new build. It works for me now too.
William Roberts
Read the message more closely you dumb piece of shit
v0.28 was released a few hours ago
Caleb Perry
That doesn't change the fact that there were only 24 commits in version 0.28.0
William Moore
It's 24 commits since version 0.28. There were 579 commits between 0.27 and 0.28
Joseph Moore
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Austin Phillips
>retarded brainlet starts frogposting after proven wrong
Josiah Barnes
Damn... On a side note i wonder why FSRCNNX_x2_r2_8-0-2-2.glsl has different tone/brightness compared to FSRCNNX_x2_r1_24-0-2-2.glsl (same as RAVU and normal scalers).
Cooper Phillips
Whats even happening to him? He stopped contributing to mpv and even libplacebo for months. Also stopped posting here. Is he even in the mpv dev channel? Nigga has so much ambitions and talent but never seems to finish anything?
Caleb Foster
Why didn't they merge vulkan rev. 2 before releasing 0.28? Come on.
Anthony Gray
p-please reply
Dylan Lee
I know nothing about OSX but I'm sure IINA will have something about it lhc70000.github.io/iina/
Christian Torres
nvm apparently you can install it to the applications folder as a 'normal' app and make it available for assignation, through homebrew
Grayson Perez
How can you people tolerate tscale=mitchell? It looks disgustingly blurry. oversample is the only worthwhile tscale option.
