>inb4 Thinkpad
I'm sending back my second brand new one because of poor build quality.

I don't believe you. Post proof.

Horrendous backlight bleeding (some of the worst I've seen) and a high pitched whine when it's running.
For $800 it's a let down to say the least.

acer aspire s7

Dell XPS 13
Lenovo Yoga 720

I'm in the same pickle.
Looking at Dell xps13 but lol camera placement,
Razer stealth but lol at the logo.
MacBook air but shitty screen resolution/overpriced.

Probably gonna get the Razer and a skin for the laptop.

Elitebook x360, Not even a contest

Razer Stealth would be so a nice laptop aside from the ugly gamer logo and the 16.8M colorst

stop buying new think pads and go get a x70 from those chinese kids making "new" think pads from old parts

literally all new small and thin computers made today will have that whine, sorry to say

My 5 year old 12" ASUS doesn't have it though.

He said new

>he bought a modern thinkpad despite Sup Forums telling him not to
>reeeee, shit build quality
Who do you think is to blame here?

personally i'm ordering an x230 from ebay and holding on until the x280, supposedly getting a redesign from the previous gens and new 8th gen processor - hopefully the chinks won't fuck it up too bad

will come out in 3 months

really should try to get something with a ryzen apu instead of intel

who knows when and if those will come out with the thinkpad

The new MacBook Pros are phenomenal but they're made by Apple, so Sup Forums hates them.

Throttlebooks are phenomenal at just that

I was just looking at 13 inch laptops and came to the conclusion they are all overpriced or under-powered. Hell, I don't like the current state of laptops in general.

They're excellent, crazy standby time great screen. Even better usb c

Depends on what are you looking for. Some T and X series from lenovo are pretty good with discounts
