Good luck, friend.

get help now. you won't get a job if you don't have friends or family giving you a job, which seems just like you don't.

you don't need a full-on CS degree to write code and make money off of it. The links here are all good. Also, coding is not science, it is practical engineering. Whatever you start reading, you need to also write plenty of code to become good at it. Keep hammering.

Also coding isn't the only way to get into Tech industry. Its one of the (major) ways but not the only way.

If you think you're good with computers - get certified in A+ (2 month study at most) and apply for helpdesk jobs. They are typically in the $40k/year range and help you get into the industry and rack up experience. From there you can branch off into Servers or Networking fields. Though even in servers and networking they are asking for people who can script and code.

Its kind of how I started my career - in a startup MSP company, and my boss there never went to college yet was the lead tech engineer whose technical repertoire included being proficient in office networking/cisco switches routers and windows server 2003/2008.

work through the following textbooks:
into login
data structures
algorithms
object oriented programming

After that try to make some projects

first should be intro logic, must be more tired than i thought

Become catholic, and your church will help you with study fees and stuff as well as becoming happy.

install gentoo

>tfw have worthless cs degree

How do I get certs

It's like computer engineering wtihout the engineering!

Truly an intellectual

Fuck CS and learn software engineering

Java or Python and make a web project and put it on a resumé

good luck user

>one year

What, you mean 4-6 years.

Note in that 'curriculum' the tuition free University of the People BSc degree. Go get a job as a landscaper or union job making $12/hr and live a minimalist life until you get the degree. Do pull ups, drink cheap beer, meet girls at working class concerts.

using coding as a verb is for niggers dont listen to this poser who just goes on tomshardware

You'll go work at McDonald's for $15/h like all the other cucks. You'll live in a squalid studio apartment and masturbate to lolicon because no woman wants you.

>he fell for the CS meme
>he thinks he won't be babysitting stupid Pajeets who can't write an English sentence.

I made virtually no money beside survival money from age 15-35 when I finished a degree.

Age 15-22, be a street skinhead, live in squatter houses, tour with bands, make no money beyond affording a 6-pack and a shower. Drop out of school.
Age 22-29 work trade construction, still tour with bands, save all my money because I'm used to having no money.
Age 29-35 get GED, complete engineering degree
Age 36 now I make $1k a night on the weekends engineering music

Never once did my life suck while I was poor as fuck, there were always tons of girls around, empty pools to skate and waves to surf, free couches to crash on while touring, friends for life made.

If you want to make good money within a year your going to have to do something else.

If you self teach you will code you will come cross a lot of snobbery, by those that have a piece of paper saying the paid for the privilege.

It will take time to build up experience, again slowing you progress no matter how goodbye are.

If you want to make good money within 12 months choose something like Drug dealing or trafficking, human trafficking or kidnap.

All options are high risk and high reward, but may also reduce your life expectancy.

If your done with life, what have you got to lose?

why did you believe the marxist meme that you have to be good at something to make mony from it? just go become a brick layer, that's good money and you don't have to know how to do a high skilled thing, just show up for an honest day's work every day

don't waste the past 12
owait
I guess you could make good use of the last one
nah jk totally not gonna happen, you're not going to turn it around magically into full success in one year

you could set realistic goals and start enjoying life as a journey instead of endpoints of child or adult

Total beginner here. Is this book actually any good?

what retarded drivel

Go to a traded school and learn how to become a plumber or an electrician. These are jobs that are always in demand, and pay reasonably well.

>traded
I meant trade.

It will tech you the basics of C and some programming basics. It will get you started, but to write really useful programs you will need to learn APIs later (posix, win32api, gtk, qt, opengl etc. depending on what you will want to write later).

If it's a good start then that's all I need. I don't know enough about programming to know specifically what I'd branch out into in the future so I just want as broad an education as I can get.

And stay the fuck off entertainment, YouTube, Sup Forums, Reddit and normal social media are fucking kryptonite when trying to get your life together

And stop acting like a wonderchild, your not going to get your life together in just 1 year and you definitely won't get a good education. If you would you'd be doomed to be an asshole.

Would I learn much from the Data Structures & Algorithms books?

teach yourself web dev if you are really serious and you go full time(or less) you can learn it in 6months ,resources are readily available online i recommend you online courses(i would recommend you coursera from personal experience) and then you can grab a book to further your skills also don't be ashamed to google and or copy and paste its the learning process , then make a simple site as you are learning this would help you grasp what you are reading and that is it! now you can start looking for a job, freelance etc and if the fish doesn't hook continue to add new projects and forks to your github

>not able to become good at something (making money).

Question: Does it matter if you're nod 'good' at stuff? We're human beings, not human doings.

Just find activities you enjoy.

plus, sucking at something is the first step to being sorta good at something.

Defining your self esteem by your utility to others is the slave's mentality. Don't let the cia niggers win OP!

>I'm 28 and I only have one year left before I off myself if I'm not able to become good at something (making money).

I'm 25, I have bachelor's degree in CS, I start a master degree this year in Computer Engineering, I work in fucking small countryside coffee with lots retards because I didn't find a job as a programmer.

>My advice
Find Udemy:
-Full stack developer course
-Learn Python or Ruby(don't learn C++ or C you will get unemployed)
-Do some project
-build your CV and add this project
