Mouse: High DPI without "Gaming" Look?

Guys, I need a reccomendation:

I need a new mouse. I play alot of fps games and want a mouse that is comfortable and has high dpi, however I grew tired of the gamery look long ago.

Just a good, sleek and minimal looking mouse, prefferably in black or dark grey.

Can someone help out?

Budget?

g403

Anything Logitech, Steelseries or Zowie

Why not just turn up the sensitivity of the mouse?

sensei.

Great answer. Specifically newer releases.

Adjusting windows sensitivity does some bad stuff to aim iirc

Can someone please redpill me on high DPI mice?
What is the actual difference between
>higher DPI, lower sensitivity
>lower DPI, higher sensitivity
I dond ged id, because 800DPI is the standard "low" spec, but you move more like 200px per inch with normal sensitivity in gaymens, so you're not going to be skipping pixels.

I honestly have no idea what's the difference between 800\1600\3200 DPI (assuming the sensitivity is adjusted properly), it all feels exactly the same on my mouse mat. But the difference between 125hz and 1000hz is definitely noticeable.

new zowie line

>gamery

you cant be this autistic, high dpi is very low on the scale of things that actually matter in terms of accuracy
frequency>sensor>fps>dpi
just buy a mouse with a flawless sensor and play at native dpi and fuck off

hijacking this thread for my small inquiry

i got a new mouse, the zowie ec1-a which is great, but i had been using a 2009 deathadder for the last 6 years so i'm used to very light clicking. the ec1-a's clicking takes just a bit too much strength that it becomes a little uncomfortable when spamming clicks in RTS games and stuff. is it a good idea to open up the mouse and start digging around to make hopefully adjust the spring so that it's easier to click it? or is it more likely that i'll fuck it up somehow?

Logitech has to be the way to go imo.

I don't use gaming mice, I use an MX master, but the quality is outstanding. Even their cheaper stuff is good.

High DPI isnt better tho.

G102/203
Some might even think it is an office mouse.

>you move the mouse +0.6 units on the x axis
>sensor says "mouse moved +1.001 units on the x axis"
>windows hears "mouse moved +10.01 units on the x axis"

Logitech G700s, been using it for years.

Just buy a Logitech G mouse and turn the blinkenlights off in the control panel.

Hey guy, OP here.
Thanks for the suggestions. I went for the G203, really seems like exactly what I was looking for.

Merry christmas to all you anons, take care.

retard

...

retard

Merry christmas to you anyway :)

The edge is real.

Bad idea, bro. Get a different mouse.

Does anyone else make a quality mouse out of metal and glass like Apple?

Didn't knew that. I just mostly get used to the mouse within a day. So i never really about DPI.

>high dpi
When will this meme end? You can't aim with a DPI higher than 1200.
Get a zowie EC-B mouse. 400-2400 DPI.

higher dpi supposedly introduces more latency
low dpi and high sensitivity add pixel skipping but it's only noticable with like 200dpi and 20 times the normal sensitivity
any dpi above 800 with a non chink sensor is pretty much the same, you just have to change your windows pointer speed and sensitivity accordingly
also disable mouse acceleration/enhanced pointer precision

If only gaymans can provide actual numrical values to the sensitivity bar to go off of.

each game has a different sensitivity
what are you on

This, Zowie is overrated and overpriced

>different sensitivity
Which, is exactly why i want a standard measurable sensitivity slider with numerical values, that i can see?
>gtaV
>warthunder
>warframe
>WOT
>EVE
Games where i have some trouble picking a sensitivity im happy with.

Zowie EC1-B or EC2-B, depending on your hand size. DPI goes up to 3200 and very little gayman shit. They do have a lit-up coloured scrollwheel, but it's function is to show you the DPI currebtly in use so personally I'll allow that. Also, totally plug'n'play so no crappy software needed.

Not even a meme, but Razer. Most simple looking gaming mouse. If you install the driver bullshit you can probably turn off the RGB, but since your hand covers it most of the time, it wont really matter.

I use one at work.

High DPI is the biggest blue pill
Gaymers are so fucking stupid

had a Zowie AM, and I wasn't a huge fan. Good sensor, good mouse, but no adjusting the DPI in software and the fact that it broke fairly quickly for no reason makes me hesitant to use mice from theses guys again.

I like my SS Rival much better. Not sure if they fixed that rubber-wear problem on the 300 completely though

Deathadder with the LEDs turned off

this, the light is quite subtle anyways though and doesn't really bother me all that much
and i fucking hate pretty much anything rgb

For games in higher resolution, a higher dpi and a low sensitivity is supposedly better than a lower dpi and a higher sensitivity
In my own experience they are functionally the same, except high dpi plus low sens is smoother when tracking

Lower sensitivity in window setting or application?

The middle click on two separate Death Adders I have have started failing. Didn't even get much use out of either. As much as I love the mouse overall, I'm starting to suspect their quality is lower than the price tag would indicate.

G102 logitech?

Mionix isn't over the top gamery

high dpi is the biggest gaming meme you can get

just get your favorite spaceship dpi monster you faggot

app perhaps? if you care enough (competitive enough) to fiddle with things to see what works best.

Use a Corsair mouse and turn off lighting.

$5 mouse will do the job, gayming mouses are a meme

Unfortunately I have to agree Deathadder's shape and thumb buttons are perfect (size). All these Logitech mice mentioned in the thread have teeny tiny thumb buttons, what the fuck is the point? I don't want to keep using my Deathadder Black but I have to.

This... Fucking this.

Let me tell you a story OP.
In 2010 I bought a g700.
I still use it.
I have as a general purpose mouse.
I use it on my desktop.
I carry it around with my laptop.
I use it in my office(yes, i bring my own mouse).
Why? Because productivity.
G700 stores your configuration.
G700 works wireless and wired.
G700 needs 1(that's one) time config and it's universal, it's cross platform, it's cross galaxy.
G700 doesn't care about relativity.
1 month ago, the g700s prices jumped audenly to 200 jewros.
1 month ago I decided to buy and store a g700s in order to have it as a replacement for when my g700 dies.
(pic related will be uploaded per request, coz I'm taking a shit right now)
The only thing that you have to worry is the battery.
The battery is a fucking consumable, it will someday lose its ability to keep the mouse powered for a whole day.
Buy a new one.
Batteries are like oil in cars... You have to change it some day.
G700s runs at around the mspr even nearly 3 years after its release, iirc. Grab it before it's too late.

The only thing you're missing is reddit spacing

>not taking a good mouse apart and making a custom case and buttons for it

Get a g502 and thank me later.

how do you people use those high dpi gaming pointer controllers? i tried someone elses gaming mouse once and it moved the cursor to the other end of the screen by just barely touching the mouse.

>high dpi
>Fps
R u dum

some user did that and posted a image of it here too.

also why did i get an "upload error" message when that file was named mouse.jpg?
