Yes
I use it. Idc if it spies on me. All I do is get on Sup Forums and watch gay anime.
it's finally shaping up. it only took fucking 3 years. christ. imagine if they had to make their own renderer.
in terms of "is it a botnet", I have no fucking idea. but just in terms of whether I like the browser or not, yes I love it.
Botnet
No, and it's really conservative on the RAM, which I appreciate. Also the interface has some really neat tweaks akin to the old opera. The history stats and the page filter options are handy.
Generally it has a few of the options that made old opera great, and they keep adding more every few months.
If that gives you any idea whether Vivaldi contains telemetry or not:

It's a failed abortion attempting to fill the void left by Opera. I'll stick to making Firefox work
Every browser spies on you, if not the browser itself then the websites you visit will. I gave up on privacy desu.
>It's a failed abortion
You seem to have an axe to grind, it's a perfectly cromulent browser.
It still has some weird stutters for me in certain areas and the ctrl+tab behavior doesnt work at all how it should, otherwise very nice
It's a pile of trash
Either be specific or stop lashing out like an angry child.
JavaScript UI, slow and buggy, years later and still shit compared to Opera, etc.
>JavaScript UI,
wrong, the UI is done in CSS
>slow
Let's see those benchmarks
>and buggy
Let's look at those vulnerability reports.
>shit compared to Opera, etc.
I'm guessing you're sharing this marvelous insight from China.
>Let's see those benchmarks
Don't need to, just use it then use a different browser
>Let's look at those vulnerability reports.
bug ≠ vulnerability
>I'm guessing you're sharing this marvelous insight from China.
Chropera's also ass.
Its awesome and its my main browser on all my computers
I'm not even paid to say that
>Don't need to
Then you're just shitposting and have nothing to back up your claims.
>bug ≠ vulnerability
Let's look at all those unresolved bug reports.
>Chropera's also ass.
They leaked the presto source code some time ago and nothing came out of it. As much as I'd want that to continue under development, it's never going to happen.
>Then you're just shitposting and have nothing to back up your claims
Anecdotal evidence is all I need. If Vivaldi is slower than Opera, it's fucking slower. Bottom line.
>Let's look at all those unresolved bug reports.
You're as capable of pulling them up as I am
>They leaked the presto source code some time ago and nothing came out of it
I'm well aware, that doesn't mean that Chropera and Vivaldi aren't shit.
Been hopping between browsers and so far Vivaldi is the one that consumes the least RAM so far and its faster than the pre-quantum firefox, so I'm sticking to it. I dont know if it has telemetry or not though.
it's not a privacy focused browser like brave but it's in their spirit to keep the product at your service and not the other way around. I'd say it's the less botnet you can get before going the autistic way (Brave).
I like it a lot, but mostly because of the cool name and color. Performance isn't on the level of chrome.
everything is shit compared to presto opera.
What's good about it these days? I picked it up years ago and then dropped it.
they all spy on you, but vivaldi sucks that's why people don't use it
slow
Bruh, Vivaldi is literally reskinned Chromium
it finally has sync. it seems much more stable now than before. as in, it hasn't crashed a single time in the two weeks i've picked it up again. also, it's fairly quick. overall, it's a usable browser now. still not as customisable as presto opera, but hopefully it will get there.
this.
i support it because its not presto opera yet, but im confident it will get there. also love the fast foward feature.
also anyone know what happened to those anons who were trying to do something with the leaked opera presto source code ?
non-free license, therefore I have no interest in it
