ITT we list outdated technology that is extinct or going extinct, and rightfully so:

Physical keyboard on a phone
Fingerprint sensor on a phone

>Fingerprint sensor on a phone
Umm, wat?
I'm not ready to pay $999 for not having a fingerprint sensor.

Volume buttons on a phone
Power button on a phone
Any sort ports on a phone

You can't be serious, Mr Cook. Not now

>Fingerprint sensor on a phone

No. I'd rather give the botnet my fingerprint than give my face.

That’s fine. Fingerprint sensor is going extinct. You can continue to use it for a few years but it will go extinct and be replaced by facial recognition.

there are few things i dislike as much as touchscreen

The vagina

Bob?

>Physical keyboard on a phone
Its not outdated, normans just don’t like it so the industry pretends it is.

OP

>physical keyboard
>and rightfully so
Eat shit and die.

...

>t apple fanboy

you wan us to suffer because of your sins ?

>Rightfully so
Take your (you) and leave

Even for Sup Forums this is shit bait, you should be ashamed OP.
Sage

>mfw bought blackberry classic two years ago just for the keyboard and to escape the google botnet
feels good

that's fine, you're a cuck

Physical keyboard is objectively inferior.

>not easier to type on
>it’s there whether you need it or not

INFERIOR.

3.5mm headphone jack

>not easier to type on
...but it is? Like, loads easier even.
as soon as you need to type anything remotely out of the ordinary on a soft keyboard, it becomes a total pain in the ass, and there's really nothing stopping autocomplete/correct from being enabled with a physical keyboard anyway
>it’s there whether you need it or not
90% of what I'm doing on the phone involves typing.
shit, back when I had a blackberry, all I used it for was text messaging and IRC, I barely called anyone
don't go on IRC as much anymore, but I'm still mostly typing on the thing

>Its not outdated, normans just don’t like it so the industry pretends it is.
nah, the industry just pushed away from it to keep up with apple's "buttons are obsolete" marketing making them look bad, and the market at large just goes with what they're told to think
less buttons and ports and shit does make it easier to waterproof the device, but that's basically the only advantage

>No. I'd rather give the botnet my fingerprint than give my face.
they already have both, but hey

>not easier to type on
wrong
>it’s there whether you need it or not
I always need it. Also, do you know what a slider is?

Fucking Kill Yourself.

open bob

I promise not Apple shilling but removing the 3.5 headphone jack is a smart move. Everyone uses Bluetooth headphones anyway and the removal improves water resistance and saves space for other components

It's something that in the long run needs to be done but the first company to do it gets hated for it.

Plus any true audiophile well use a dac plugged right into the main port for best audio

Removable batteries on smarrtphones (and laptops)

not rightfully so, however.
Normies just didn't want to be bothered with choking hazard and small pieces, so manufacturers decided to sell them one slab of unreliable and obsolete technology - and they loved it.

>improves water resistance
>saves space
Did you seriously fall for that meme or is this some advanced fucking baiting strategy

Touchscreens need to go extinct.

Priv would have been somewhat useful if it could be unlocked + rooted.

*blocks your path*

What a failed abortion.
