How often do you use these?

How often do you use these?

every day

Every day.
That's a SSK, not a Model M.

Every hour. Same for the numblock btw.

And now go somewhere else to justify your hipster garbage.

...

I use them a lot actually

F5 to initiate calculations on a model
Shift+F6 to show concrete design
F7 to show base reactions and F8 to show diagrams.

All the time.

Mostly just Alt+F4 when I hear someone coming up the stairs.

Every time I refresh a webpage (F5), go fullscreen (F11), jump to the address bar (F6), close something (alt-F4), right click with keyboard without having a menu key (shift-F10), load a file in an older program that still accepts F3 for open, or adjust the sound or brightness on my laptop (Fn+F-keys).

how often do you use this?

F2 to rename files

I only use from F13 to F24

I use some a lot of the time.
F5 to refresh a web page
alt + F3 for xfce app finder
fn + F1 to hibernate

this too

F1 for (((help))). Meaning it pops up some shitty Bing search for like "how do I use Windows"

alot f1 drop down terminal alt+f4 f5... f11 makes it go fullscreen and f12 toggles transparency of it

everday
cntrl+alt+F for ttys

F3 for my coordinates and fps in minecraft :)

all day erryday

with modifiers

F11 every time I use a browser. Can't live without fullscreen

every day so i can refresh my page faster

...

FN + F5-F8 beacuse multimedia keys.

I have a 60%, but I'll say maybe a couple times a day at most. I actually can't think of much I do. I just happened to use some of the function keys in some i3 keybinds for switching monitor layouts with xrandr. There's probably something else, but it isn't coming to me. I used to refresh with f5, but I since use ctrl-shift-r. I used to use f6 to get to the url bar, but now I use ctrl-l. The most common action I do that I didn't bind somewhat randomly is probably f2 for renaming files in thunar.

Stop spammingwith your thread, faggot.

>shift-f10
Wow, it's been ages since I learned a new keybind. Thanks for this.

While you're at it, ever have a window spawn outside of the screen in Windows? I have it happen now and then when a program remembers a window position from when I had an extra screen attached and no longer do.
>alt-space, m, down arrow, move mouse, click
(If you don't understand why it works, do it with a window you can see.)

The amount of dandruff on that keyboard triggers me.

I use F5 every day, F2 very frequently, and F4 sometimes. I can't recall ever purposefully using the others though.

> How often do you use the function keys
Pretty much any time I use Midnight Commander, hexedit, DOS Navigator, or any of several other TUI-based applications that make use of those key. And also any time I want to change the volume or screen brightness or bring up the launch pad (though I'm not sure if those really count as function keys, or just as MacOS functions that are bound to F1-F12 to conserve keyboard space).

Ctrl-Alt-F1 to switch to TTY1

Midnight Commander anyone?

Midnight Commander user here.

>Every hour. Same for the numlock btw.
this

I use Alt+F4, F5, F6 all the time.

Rarely. I have the ones i use frequently bound to my G600's macropad.

Use them in Visual Studio to jog the debugger around, and set breakpoints and whatnot. Don't really do much more than a casual Alt-F4 outside of that anymore.

All the time. I use them for macros especially. I really wish I had more buttons.

F2 rename in Dolphin
F5 refresh or copy in mc
F7 new folder in mc
F8 delete in mc
F10 new folder in Dolphin
F12 Yakuake or Steam screenshot

actually very often, i have a ton of binds set to those keys
