You can ask a Cornishman anything if you want, I'm here for the evening.

do you prefer ireland over england?

I'm not really a fan of either of them, but id have to say i prefer ireland, even though ive never met an irishman

anything special/interesting about cornwall except aphex twin?

people keep mentioning 'aphex twin' but ive never heard of the guy until people on Sup Forums mentioned him.
a beautiful landscape here being the main thing, and a history going back thousands of years different to that of england. in fact cornish and danish fought side by side in cornwall against the anglo saxon invaders.
cornish food is god-tier cuisine as well

What the fuck is a Cornwall?
Isn't that place in England?

I love our cornish cousins, I haven't been there but it looks like a really nice place.

NOPE! separated by the tamar bridge. kernow bys vyken

Wait isnt Aphex irish?

Why don't you cucks have a seperatist movement? Do you feel like Anglos/Brits?

we do have a separatist movement, mebyon kernow. theres plenty of cornish nationalists here, english arent usually made to feel very welcome when coming down here

Can you surf in Cornwall?

How many englishmen could you take on in a combat?

what a load of shit. your entire economy is tourism from the rest of England, and people there who aren't bottom feeding neets are well aware of this and keen to keep it going.

So is Cornwall Britains Ă…land?

Would you country participate in a Celtic Union if one was ever created? Especially if it was about military alliance and encouraged economic trade rather than making everyone have the same currency and being a generally corrupt institution like the EU

When are you going to follow in the footsteps of the Irish and free yourself of the English?

They have quite nice beaches with mediterranean flair so there are a lot of old people retiring there

yes. or Gotland.

yes but scotland can fuck off, and im board

doesnt mean we like you

>never met an irishman

Literally how is that even possible? That's like saying you've never seen a black man

Send me a pastie please it's been far too long

Also you're English

..how old are you OP?
Be proud of your identity, sure, but Cornish nationalism is a joke.

No, he was born in Ireland to Welsh parents. Raised in Cornwall and now lives in Scotland.

Celtic as fuck

Gotland is an ethnically Swedish place with no resentment to the mainland though? There is literally no Gotland seperatism because they're not even slightly different. They have no unique language, no unique culture. They're literally just Swedes.

reee fucking svea imperialists Gut pride we should have never trusted you

oh just to add to this, Cornwall is beautiful. I need to go back now I'm an adult.. Maybe buy a few holiday homes there :^)

you couldnt even afford a shed down here pard

mate i live near lands end, i only see cornish and if im honest ive never met a black man either, ive seen them of course when ive gone up into england, but never communicated with one

nah i know we cant survive independently, but i want home rule with our own government and not being ruled by westminster. i also want cornish taught in schools

>you couldnt even afford a shed down here pard
Yes I could. I own outright in London.
>i want home rule with our own government and not being ruled by westminster. i also want cornish taught in schools
I believe a devolved/federal system is best for the UK as individual areas have their own needs and strengths. I think teaching Cornish is a bit of a pipedream (and would be a waste of resources) given it has only 300 speakers according to wikipedia.

Thank you for cornish pasties tbqh. Simply ebin food

What's Cornish like? Is it like celtic languages in Ireland?

It has a cool flag.

>Cornwall is the homeland of the Cornish people and is recognised as one of the Celtic nations, retaining a distinct cultural identity that reflects its history. Some people question the present constitutional status of Cornwall, and a nationalist movement seeks greater autonomy within the United Kingdom in the form of a devolved legislative Cornish Assembly. On 24 April 2014 it was announced that Cornish people will be granted minority status under the European Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities

Englishman here. Used to holiday in Cornwall every year for 7 years. My absolute favourite holiday destination in all of the UK.

Would recommend to any lads looking for a nice trip. Great beaches, great people, fantastic scenery, cheap (on the whole).

One piece of advice, stay away from Newquay and lands end

it's you again, you didn't answer my questions, how are you more of a pr0nishman than me? you fucking nigger i will lay my fucking paws on you

what are you going on about you retard. think you got the wrong guy ya toss pot

newquay is absolutely toxic. horrible place, im glad you have higher standards than most tourists. where did you go if you dont mind me asking

You fucking cornnigger, you made an AMA a few days ago, remember?

that wasnt me you tuss, but i thought i was the only cornfag here tbqhwy

Wales Lite

When will you admit that Cornish pasties are actually from Devon and you have no right to claim them?

ah, it's here but i forgot he was from canada rofl, sorry lad

not my experience when i visited. Or anyone else i know who's been down that way. But then we had northern accents maybe that makes a difference?

dont slip up again or ill end your fucking life. got it you cheeky mug?

honestly say that around here n you'll get found floating in the ocean. devon are scum bags that have to leach off everything cornwall does. the only reason people go to devon is driving through to come here

Pls send pasties, they are hard to get here

of course they would be hard to get there, you arent living in the holy land. post your address and ill send you some proper good pazzys lad

t. devon pastie thief and internet tough guy

We have large amounts of British immigrants including as myself, you'd think someone would open a Gregg's by now

Ahh i've been all over. Had a holiday cottage near cape cornwall. One of my favourite spots was lamorna cove. Used to rent a boat and go fishing there at least twice a week

> Newquay

Was nice, but quite packed with english tourists.

It's full of turbo "raaaadd maannn" surfers and beer bellied welsh girls. It's just not pleasing at all compared to the rest of cornwall. Then again, it depends what you're after. I liked going there for the countryside, quiet beaches and fishing.

It was like poor man's Ibiza.

>greggs
triggered. i hope you dont consider that bullshit cornish pasties? no one outside of cornwall does a proper pasty

newquay is such a commercial place, reminds me of some spain resort. doesnt reflect the identity of cornwall whatsoever.

lamorna is dope, im not far from there, cape is also very nice, god-tier rock pools as well

Its better than nothing my man

id rather shit in my hands and clap than put that shite in me gob

Is there a Kernewek revival effort?

If so, how strong is it?

You just don't understand my suffering

There are plenty of good pasties outside Cornwall, they're really not hard to make lmao

So which place does then?

Why did you rip off our anthem, brothers?
youtube.com/watch?v=aID6zh4cBcg

t. Dafydd ap Jones

everywhere but newquay. seaside villages like mousehole, lamorna, sennen,
falmouth is a big town with lots going on but still has character and a nice marina/harbour, the girls there are so fit and trendy, good scene

the good thing about Kernow is you cant really go wrong, wherever you go

Love Falmouth. Great place to go on the lash

This.

Cornwall is a cultural and economic wasteland. Just a place for rich people to own second homes they visit once a year. Any talk of a secession movement is purely "celtic" roleplaying from reclusive neets.

looks comfy

I liked the dolmens, stone circles, fogous and stuff like that. I didn't like the rest.

Why is Galicia always left out of the celtic union?

Yeah... It's pathetic as fuck. Besides, I'm pretty tired of nationalism anyway, but there simply is no celtic culture there anymore, so get a life.

What is cornwall?

There's not even a language. This entire celtic shit is becoming extinct anyway. Just let it be.

A place with corn and walls probably

What are Cornish reasons for independence? Some dumb shit like Catalan/Basque case like "muh language, muh we're ""oppressed""".

The language died a long time ago, and it isn't a wealthy region like catalonia or basque country. It's simply spastic bullshit for idiots who desperately trying to look special.

I always wonder if the boat rental guy is still at Lamorna. Has legit the accent same voice as Rick Stein. Total bro, tbf.

The more i think about it, the only reason i'd ever go back to the UK would be to take my m8s to cornwall

Do you have any Cornish? Do you feel that Wales is your brother nation?

Have you accepted the fact that you and your """"""""'""""""""'""""""""'""""""""'country""""""""'""""""""'""""""""'""""""""' is irrelevant?

Welshman here, no one outside cornwall even knows about them having a seperate identity from the English. No offence intended, OP.

They should be closer to the Breton.

My poop is cornish

In your opinion, which is the best book to learn Welsh?
Best book to learn Breton?
