well, this building was torn down because it was in the way of a bridge

the same was the situation with the townhall , but it was a different bridge

the church was brought down by the commies after it was heavily damaged in the Allied bombings of Budapest, alongside with many other buildings, includin the Army Headquarters these are just a few of the hundreds upon hundreds of buildings destroyed or damaged during WWII and communist times, but the current government is slowly working on bringing a few of them back, and refurbishing the buildings which lost their domes and ornamentations due to how they were reshaped after the commies took over
