Lived in WI for seven years before I had to move to Illinois. Eventually I'd like to return. Place just feels like where I belong.
When I do return, recommendations on where to go? I want quiet, open space, but not completely removed from humanity (I wanna be able to get to a walmart in a reasonable amount of time.) I'm staying away from Kenosha, Racine, Madison or Milwaukee. Also dont wanna live right in the middle of big tourist areas, like Door County.
How's MidWest Wisconsin? Jeaneu, Sauk, Monroe, Adams county area? Or do I need to go farther north? Heard Eau Claire is nice. Also heard you gotta be north of oshkosh to get the stink of milwaukee nigs off of you. How's Waupaca or Portage county?
If there is heavy snow, I wanna be somewhere I can take a snowmobile into town if need be.
Check around Shawano, nice place. I've been going there a few times a years for over a decade.

Shawano has the lake, decent price houses, Walmart, a casino, bowling alley, 2 theaters, just big enough.
