It's actually pretty good if you look for some minimal BSD-like linux distribution then it's pretty much your only serious option(as Arch is bloated by systemd) if you don't want to install gentoo.

Very good and minimal binary distribution. It is not arch-based. It is very stable and has almost all packages I need. Switched over from gentoo after 10+ years.

if you're capable of installing void, you can easily install a window manager (i recommend i3 or herbstluftwm) and have a good time.
