Fuck no, and old (especially commercial) microwaves usually had outstanding build quality.

I still keep old hardware because I repair old CNC machines, and the machines make buckets of money so the downtime to "upgrade" what doesn't need changing would be very expensive.

He seems to competently dabble in electrical engineering, so he's probably done a decent job of maintaining that thing. The used diapers are obviously a different matter altogether.

if that's the case then it's probably a decent microwave if he's maintaining it, since the shell is metal, rather than bullshit plastic like nowadays.

I mean, that dude is all sorts of shades of fucked up, but it makes me laugh when people who don't know how radiation works think that a microwave is the same as putting your bowl of oatmeal inside a nuclear reactor. Microwaves are essentially just as dangerous to you as listening to the radio or pointing a tv remote at your head and pushing buttons. Also, microwaves are literally coursing through you every second of every day from space. All the time.
