Who's been keeping up with CES2018?

can you buy that miku phone anywhere anymore or is it discontinued everywhere?

I already have miku phone. Been using it for 4 years.

Why isnt vlc on android showing album artwork?

asking again, what's the king under 200€?

Are there any serious options that aren't android or apple? Why do they keep dying?

Whats the best phone that has both removable storage (ie SD card) and a removable battery?

Why is my mi mix 2 the best phone and how do I make it better by getting a glass screen protector that doesn't have the rainbow effect

LGV20

no
theyre pointless. the market needs some level of standardization. it comes at the cost of competition.

Meizu M6 Note or Redmi Note 4x.

>LGV20
Thank you

Today I will join the Note 8 masterrace. Nearly went Huawei mate 10 pro but the Note felt lile a better phone. Maybe Huawei will step up their game with the P20 or Mate 20.

is this a good deal

geekbuying.com/item/Official-Global-ROM-Xiaomi-Mi-Max2-4GB-64GB-Smartphone---Gold-382038.html

>Xiaomi

>Redmi Note 4x.
Have one. Really love. But it's about $125. For "under €200" you could get Mi A1 or Mi Max 2.

Femanon here (sorry, lost selfie folder)

Project Treble was supposed to mean the end of delayed software updates, but my Huawei Mate 10 is still stuck on the November security patch level , with no updates since launch.

Why is this allowed?

Note 4

>Femanon here
Nice way to try and grab the attention. Tits or GTFO

Since more and more Smartphonemanufacturers decide to use usb 3.1. in their phones. When you guys think "desktop mode" like Samsungs Dex, Huaweis Projection Mode or "continuum" will be a usable thing? Do others will implement it? Does it need Apple to "invent" it?

I dream to use my phone as a desktop since the pocket pc area.

in before play Euro truck simulator, virtual machines, Photoshop, compile 7 hours furry porn and so on

>When you guys think "desktop mode" like Samsungs Dex, Huaweis Projection Mode or "continuum" will be a usable thing?
Within the next 5 years

>Does it need Apple to "invent" it?
No, but it will help

You can still get it on aliexpress. I've purchased one for my sis for Christmas.

I love the colour of the Miku phone but why the hell is the front white? If it would be blue too then I'd get one myself.

Buy a XZ Prem now or wait for the XA2?

>Girl
How new are you?

XA2 is midrange, you stupid peasant
get the xz premium, you'll have to wait more than 6 months for the new premium

2017 was the year of meme displays and dual cameras. This year the trend will be under-screen inlying fingerprint sensors. Mark my words.

How do I get over this? I can't buy a new phone because as soon as it's like 3 months old, I think, why not wait next year since the phone will be better. I've done this for 4 years and I'm still on iphone 4s.

Do you need to upgrade? If so, do it fgt.
If not, keep using your shitphone.
I've upgraded to flagships every year until now, went with a $40 Moto E4 and it fits my needs perfectly fine. If I happen to have some throwaway money I'll probably buy a Note 8.

Xperia ZR. I dropped it and doesn't start anymore but it was a great phone.

>Mi A1
Worse than the Redmi though.

My xperia ZR is now 4.5 years old. Can't believe that it managed to stay alive all the time. Sadly not even los does help anymore. Battery is dying so fast on me and it looks really bad desu. Every port is basically completely open since the flaps broke away.

I've got a Moto G 5S Plus for 213€ on amazon.

Did I do right?

I currently have a Moto G 1st generation.

>asking again, what's the king under 200€?
Honor 7x

Looking for Best camera, Best battery life and (optional) lineage support. Recommendations?

Pixel 2

pls respond

thats a dumb ass "innovation"
Fuck fingerprint scanners
>t. Nexus 5 2013

Imagine being too poor to buy the Xperia XZ Premium (TM)

>want a new phone.
>want additional microSDXC storage capacity.
>want to spend around $300 or less
>don't want to use fingerprint scanners or face scanners to unlock.

how fucked am I Sup Forums?

AFAIK you can skip using the fingerprint scanner, pretend it isnt there.

Pretty good

imagine being too lazy to clear your notifications

I run a facebook page and it spams the shit out of me so i never bother to clean that shit up

me too mate. But not for next 3 days. I got banned lol

also, you can turn off the notifications if you like

Don't set up the fingerprint scanner of you don't want it.

Should I get Huawei Mate 10 now, Or wait until February?
>will be a usable thing?
It's usable right now, but you have to fiddle around and if you stick to the basic stuff.
Maybe when better software support and cheaper adapter become available.
So 3-5 years assuming the concept doesn't die.
>Does it need Apple to "invent" it?
Perhaps, but with the way Apple integrate each line of their products, I highly doubt it.
It would be more of like "You need to get every product to get the full experience, iWatch+iPhone+iPad+iPod+iMac+iOS"

I just gone one for the same price, loving it so far.
The battery life is outstanding.

Have you tried playing hearthstone on it? I hope it works well.

Now, gets better with time, took a week or two for the battery to kick in as it were for me

Oi, Sup Forums
What should I get for my grandmother under $100?
Her iPhone 4s is almost unusable at this point.

No,you shouldn't, put security issue away, huawei makes shit phone.

I recently got the redmeme note 4 and i love it.
The only problem i have is that ive set up klwp and nova with a klwp button thats meant to open the app drawer but it doesn't. If nova crashes and i re open nova and then click the button itll work once but not again after that. Ive googled it but all i can find is "it was a bug with miui and was fixed in the latest patch" but im on the latest version of nova klwp and miui

>Should I get Huawei Mate 10 now, Or wait until February?

Note that there is a 6GB/ 128GB Version of the "normal" Mate 10!

Overall a good phone, It's a pity that the shitty Kirin 970 soc is throttling down due to overheating. I asume that could be a problem especially in "desktop mode"...So what they do? ..Put fucking glas on the back! That's so stupid

b) The normal Version with it's 2k LCD Memescreen combined with the Kirin 970 is a battery eater.

c) Keep in mind that Huawei uses another "Fastcharge" method .. No Quick Charge Adapter nor "normal" Anker Cable whatsoever will work anymore

>It's usable right now, but you have to fiddle around and if you stick to the basic stuff.

I use a 1.6 GHz DualCore Celeron right now...

Anyway, I saw some demonstrations and not even basic stuff like Netflix or MS office work in desktopmode

>cheaper adapter become available

there are heaps of cheap 3.1 hdmi usb adapters for like 10 - 30€ on Ali, GearBest..

>assuming the concept doesn't die.
hopefully not

If Microsoft really gets ARM X86 down and makes it trivial to switch modes, they could actually take the smart phone market imo. Too bad the pajeets running it now are too busy making apps to map toilets and help hot a what baabhabhiats avoid rape alleys.

>The normal Version with it's 2k LCD Memescreen combined with the Kirin 970 is a battery eater.
So I should go for the OLED aka PRO version?
>Anyway, I saw some demonstrations and not even basic stuff like Netflix or MS office work in desktopmode
I saw a demo with google sheet, don't know about the rest.
Honestly I have an android box (H96 pro) that I use like Samsun DeX & Huawei projection mode, It's very convenient especially when I'm on trip and I need to modify some documents or to get comfy in hotel room.
>I use a 1.6 GHz DualCore Celeron
What can you do with it?
I use first gen Core i5, and it struggles when opening 4K images.
>cheap 3.1 hdmi usb adapters
For huawei, Samsung forces you to use the DeX station.
Because of late updates?
I thought this phone was included in project treble.
>kick in
How long does the battery last for your daily usage?

about 7-9 hours soc is my record, but even then I wasnt really trying and it had about 38% left. Honestly, I charge it in bursts, as opposed to every other phone I've had which was overnight, the charge is beautiful. But at the start It was draining quicker, I guess maybe I was using it more but it definitely feels like it lasts longer now

Daily reminder to not buy Huawei phones outside of Europe and chinkland otherwise you'll never get updates everagain.

Daily reminder to not buy Huawei phones.

OK NIGGAS
THERES A LOCLA RETAILER SELLING A NOKIA 5 FOR 150 EUROS
YES OR NO

But I live in asia.

Did I miss something?
Are we pretending they're bad now, or something?

Next time, research before you buy a phone.

complete agreement

>So I should go for the OLED aka PRO version?

Let's see, what else you get, except of the 200€ higher bill

>OLED burn in
>NO Headphonejack
>NO SD-Card Slot

enough said

>What can you do with it?

Listen to lagging musik while scrolling a website.. it´s a beast

>Samsung forces you to use the DeX station

..Avoiding Samsung since "Omnia"

I'd say no, disregarding other phones in that price range, it isn't very good.

I did the phone was decent and got meme'd about the updates and then later found out that the software support is pretty much non existent outside of EU and Asia ain't my fault nigger.

>ain't my fault nigger

Sounds like it is.

Is the Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro is solid purchase?

If you cant afford S or Note then don't buy samsung. All the low tier shit is abandoned on launch.

Whats everyone's favorite Android launcher?

Nova Prime.

Nove and Evie.

>Pretending

I've got the option of getting a used iPhone 6s or a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X for the same price. I really don't know anything about phones, what's the better option?

gsmarena.com/compare.php3?&idPhone2=5596&idPhone3=6538&idPhone1=8619

fucking shoot me Sup Forums

im poor as shit and I know it.

Because the market is geared towards normies that can't into installing custom ROMs and thus, the effort of developing a brand new OS versus the people who will acually use said OS is pointless. You also have more difficulties in installing 3rd party OSs in a phone than in a computer, since vendors don't want uniformity so they can lock you in their plataform.

Nokia 8, GS8, or Pixel 2
These are the options I've come up with. Want a decent camera, solid performance, and decent battery. I'm leaning towards the PIxel 2, but I've heard good things about Nokia. The only catch is that there's no warrenty buying it of Amazon. GS8 feels nice but is the most expensive. Thoughts?

You can get decent chinkshit phones for the same price of those two there. Buying any of those in 2018 would be a dumb move.

aight,what chinkshit phone you reccomend

what amount of memory in in the 6S?

>nubia m2
135 euros at banggood. It seems perfect. Should I buy it? Looking for an advice

64 gb

Lawnchair

Noroot, touchwiz, or garbage screen

I use Apex.

What's a good player that isn't PowerAmp? I just want to try something different. Tried GoneMad but I feel like PowerAmp has a better interface

Why? What benefits do each of those? What do you like about them?

Lawnchair is Pixel launcher with Nova customization

consider oneplus 5T in that price point
they don't sell it officially on amazon or in stores, you gotta buy it directly from their site

Great buy

I've been using Apex for about 4 years now. I installed it on a whim being recommended that and Nova since I didn't like the TouchWiz launch on the S3, and after a while it became my preference.

Its a nice buy?

I liked Evie's aesthetics, it's also very light and offers basic customization.

any way to create custom batch actions in titanium backup app?

well you're not getting cucked on memory

no lie apple does make nice devices

if you literally just want a buttery smooth experience the iPhone is for you

if you're going to be bothered by not having full HD, you want to put 900 hours of music on the thing/ want to add an SD card or you run linux, consider the redmi

also consider how you want to unlock the phone, fingerprint scanners are strange things, some folks swear by the front, some folks wont buy it unless its on the back

ultimately you may want to consider which economy you want to get into. if you're going to spend a lot of money on for-pay apps and then switch platforms later nothing will transfer, you'll have to buy everything again.

also, if you're computer cannot run the latest iTunes, you won't be able to do anything regarding non-Over The Air updates with iOS, where normally everyone recommends you just do a full wipe and then install the new version fresh to avoid OS bugs/slowdown, you'll have to use the device's inbuilt upgrade feature. a 32 bit toaster from 2009 will handle android

if you can physically get your hands on both of them you may just want to decide which you like more

if you want to customize your desktop, a droid root is far more reliable than waiting for iOS to get jailbroken and then making sure you're on an appropriate version, the tradeoff is Apples are harder (impossible) to steal when set up properly, if that's any consideration for you

I'd lean towards the droid myself, if you do, make sure you buy a 9H screen protector for it off of amazon or where ever

the iPhone basically doesn't need one unless you carry sharp metal or maybe your keys in the same pocket, but you may just as well slap one on there anyway

t. just moved from a 5S to a droid after 4 years
