I just want a urlbar search that isn't profiting off of my search history, and doesn't censor 18+ results. Is that so much to ask?

I tried using startpage, but literally 50% of the time or more, the urlbar plugin redirects my searches to startpage.com instead of actually showing me my search results. ddg doesn't seem to have a urlbar plugin that disables "safe search". Searx, maybe that will work, but I didn't like how the horizontal space for its image results were partially occupied by basically a lmgtfy link. But if I had no other complaints it might be the best otherwise. I still don't know why the startpage plugin fucks me like this.

You mean generate it via startpage settings? That was the one I used, which at least 50% of the time redirects to startpage.com when I search with the urlbar...

select the custom startpage as your default search engine
