Sup Forums Laptop

Let's imagine, how Sup Forums-designed laptop would look like and what features it would have.

only supports TempleOS

380Z but with an athlon 5350 on an AM1 motherboard inside.

someone post the pic, it was already designed newfag,

Are you talking about Original Sup Forums aka og or nu-Sup Forums aka /fa/Sup Forums?

>comes preloaded with so many fucking linux distros that there is only enough room left for speccy

No. We are nor Apple, you fag

>speccy
>GNU/Linux
kys

fa/g/, because it sounds cool, like OP, but FAG.

Everything is swapabble, everything has hardware switches, relatively light and thin

I'm going to start a company soon designing laptops and that my market could almost guarantee Sup Forums will appreciate it. Stay tuned (years from now)

X1 Carbon with

Probably start with this
>7700HQ
>1060
>1.9kg
>Huge 93Whr battery

is that an Aero 14?

OT: I'd trade a kidney for a x220 with modern hardware. Latest gen CPU with Iris Pro integrated graphics, IPS screen, new 9 cell battery, etc..

>X220 keyboard
>1440p IPS display, very little bezzle
>Thinkpad thicccccness for IO
>Big 9-Cell battery sticking out the back, with current technology about 20 hours battery life
>Thinkpad nipple with actual mouse buttons
>Docking station

Why don't Lenovo make this?

because there is little crossover between Thinkpad enthusiasts and those who use brand new Thinkpads

Enough business people exist that you'd think this would be profitable.

T60 with risc-v

>not embracing God's word through his prophet, Terrence
See you in hell faggo.

> T61 casing
> detachable display
> incoming AMD apu, but free as in freedom down to the BIOS and GPU
> 1920x1200 IPS matte screen
> all of the original T61 I/O plus 2x thunderbolt and maybe a serial RJ45 port for my servers, because fuck dongles
> 2x 48 Whr dual battery
> everything hotswappable
I'd pay up to 5 grand for this.

theyll never make a laptop like this because its too good. they need you brokeback and wanting toddler screens and shiny shiny sleek minimalistic thin plastic that breaks into a hundred pieces if you give it a tiny little lovetap. thats the future we've decided on. you just dont understand that this is the tony stark hologram future, ok? stop being a loser. practical usability is just EWww get it out of here

>no botnet

botnet

12 inch thinkpad.
thinklight
classic keyboard layout
CTRL/FN switch via bios
coreboot/libreboot
think pointer
oled matte screen
one usb c for power input
one usb on each side for I/O
rj45 ethernet
optical audio spdif out
secure lock slot
ravenridge
dual ram slots non soldered
bluray minidisk writer (or a hotswap bay for general drives)
2.5mm ssd
full size interior sdcard
full size external sdcard
Atheros wifi chipset (muh linux)

bonus points would be a low profile am4 socket that could fit a APU

This but minus the Blu-ray and also Qualcomm wireless 4x4 mimo

Analog audio and video like a VCR

Too bad the cost is through the nose

Like that

This laptop should have decent 100W heatsink, so all intelShit won't overheat

...

VCR is a really nice touch

The Clankpad:
>AMD 2700U APU
>15" 4K display
>32GB RAM
>2x NVMe, 2x 2.5" SATA
>DB-9 serial port and RJ45 ethernet port
>thunderbolt and USB-C/3 out the ass
>pair of USB2 ports for peripherals that don't work right in USB3 ports
>hot swap secondary battery
>mechanical keyboard
>physical kill switches for wifi, ethernet, webcam, bluetooth
>libreboot
>firmware write protected via physical blockage like a Chromebook

Hmm looks like macbook air.

"Gets brand new ThinkPad from employer then keeps it after a couple of years for a symbolic fee" club here.

>Good zen2 APU
>8/16GiB RAM
>SSD
>1080p 14" display
>quality keyboard
>good battery life
>RJ45 and good connectivity in general
>good build quality, I couldn't care less about the aesthetic meme, I'm not a soyboy.
That's my dream laptop

T420s with 19:10 screen and modern specs

Wasted

...

Thoughts on this laptop? Needed it mainly for video editing and very light gaming as well as school.
>INB4 I could have bought a way better desktop for cheaper
I understand. I needed the portability of a laptop tho.

fpbp

with more powerfull hardware i'd buy that without even thinking about the money wasted

Posted from my Thinkpad X220

...

This. If only companies would forget about the macbook-thin meme and focus on IO+build quality+functionnality.

Holy shit, I totally forgot about mouse ports.

Unless you also have your own fab churing out open source architecture CPUs we won't care.

You can never have enough VGA ports.

kek

Seriously the business world would be all over it.

>I'd trade a kidney for a x220
true dat
>intel igpu
Are you not aware of the absolute state intel, and that mobile raven ridge APUs are to be announced 2018 Q1?
dont ridicule yourself
