Why do normies hate this thing?

Why do normies hate this thing?

Normies hate everything they can't use.

They don't hate it. They don't know what it is or how to use it

>ISP guy comes home to setup the modem
>ask me to test it
>open cmd to ping google
>"whoa"

>can ping google
>needs help to plug in a modem

It's their modem, also cable.

You can't provision your own modem on a network you don't work on, nor can you open the neighborhood box or the demarc box.

>windows
>cmd
>"""volumes""" identified by letters
>backslash path separator
>forward slash command flags
>case insensitive filenames
>google.com
There's a lot to hate about that picture.

Sorry I don't live in a shitty third world country. When I got a dial up connection in the 90s all I had to do was plug in the modem myself and enter the connection details in Windows.

Same when I had dial up but now my internet comes from a coaxial cable.

>Volumes identified by letters
/dev/sda
/dev/sdb
/dev/sdc

Normies only hate it cause it aint bash.

>Dialup
>DOCSIS configuration

Give the kid a cookie.

No, normies don't even know what bash is.
normies hate it because "omg isn't that command line stuff like, ancient?"

Remember that we live in the app generation.

Except you can also access them by label, GPT partition label, UUID, GPT UUID and device name and mount them in any folder in the VFS.

Its not a normie thing, just a children thing

Anybody born say before say 84-85 will still remember the odd command

fav: shutdown -s -t 3600. Bloody useful when you're updating something just before sleep

>DOCSIS
>3rd world country
>only knows about Dialup
What?

You missed the joke. Also lets stop thinking only level 1000 omega nerds are the only people who do 'srs computing'.

update && shutdown

nobody likes the windows command prompt

>Users that file bug reports about how a tool doesn't work and only 'shortly shows a black box' when they open it.

Those are devices, not volumes, retard

lsblk --help
>To see Available columns (for --output)
or just lsblk -O | leafpad
>#leafpad or some other editor with wordwrap off.

>babby opens windows """"""terminal"""""" for first time
>omg how can normies don't like this xDD
>literally one file called HaxLogs.txt

>winblows 10
>calls other people normies
fucking retard

Windows Command Prompt fucking sucks, use Cmder instead

shut up tranny

I'd have to memorize which commands exist, and what they do.
It would be much better if there were a command that listed all commands organized into categories, and if it were easy to browse and search that list, and look up manuals for the commands.

You mean 75ohm F-Type cable. Coax is the shitty connector.

>coax is the shitty connector
literally f-type connector. i've also never seen a cable that wasn't stamped as coaxial.
Not him.

>thinking that all people are tech savvy
u wot m8
