>Made by the guy who invented Mozilla and Javascript >Natively blocks ads >Pro-privacy >Faster than other widely used browsers >Soon to implement a cryptocurrency that pays you if you decide to opt-in to ads
Why haven't you adopted the future of browsers yet, Sup Forums?
I personally use vivaldi because of the neat functions. I installed brave on an office pc for my employees to use and sometimes use it myself. breddy gud.
Dylan Diaz
Give it more time, soon they will see the light.
Isaiah Jackson
>Made by the guy who invented Mozilla (SJW botnet organization) and Javascript (the literal cancer of programming languages) is that supposed to help sell me on it? cause it's not working.
Juan Young
Someone get this faggot out of this thread.
Kayden Powell
Used it for about a month now. My only complaint is the lackluster support of the shitty video players on some porn sites
Jaxson Williams
look at that, the preeminent browser for JOB CREATORS
Brody Powell
>Made by the guy who invented Mozilla and Javascript Why do you list this like it's a positive?
Michael Sullivan
He also co-founded Firefox, is that a negative?
Blake Murphy
Which browser should I be using for privacy? Do you guys use start page for a search engine?
Samuel Rivera
Firefox for daily use. Tor Browser if you're an autist. I'd hold off on Brave for desktop. It's probably the best browser on Android, though.
Josiah Nguyen
hey it’s this loser again
Jayden Gray
He co-founded Mozilla. I can't find anything saying he had much to do with the creation of the browser itself. Having anything to do with the creation of JS ruins any goodwill I might have towards him though.
Nolan Richardson
Is this really a different browser or just another shitty chromium re skin with memes?
Colton Howard
Brave!
Also friendly reminder that Brave will be the first browser to introduce Tor in tabs
Luis Parker
I really want to use this. I agree it's the browser of the future. But right now the desktop version is still lacking polish and is kind of buggy. I have it installed and am keeping an eye on it though. Maybe I'll try to contribute.
Blake Cook
Nobody can get anybody out of threads, user; this would be strongarm censorship. Also, Firefox Quantum with No Script and μBlock Origin is surely more functional than Brave, no?
Christopher Wood
>Using anything except TBB for Tor You're doing it suboptimally, user.
Jaxson Ross
>Soon to implement a cryptocurrency that pays you if you decide to opt-in to ads OK what's the catch? I highly doubt that they're giving away free """"""money""""" out of the goodness of their hearts.
Justin Ward
muh add-ons, literally only reason I stick with firefox
Henry Sanders
Aren't those the guys that will add tor network support in their browser?
Juan Green
It's basically an incentive for advertisers. You can also spend your BAT (the coin) to sites/advertisers/youtubers to "give back" so there's incentive for those people to join in. I guarantee the browser itself will benefit from this somehow
Leo Morales
>create javascript and have to sit back and watch as it becomes popular and people start twisting your creation to do evil >you do what's right and create a browser that gives the user power to block the abuse >faggots on an image board hate your browser because it was made by the creator of javascript
Jason Lewis
They are adding a "tor tab" feature yes. pretty awesome.
Anthony Wood
That's what's on the road map, yes.
Joshua Hernandez
Sup Forums tends to mindlessly hate anything that is popular.
Jose Mitchell
Mozilla was great before the SJWs infested it. The Brave guy isn't a SJW. He had to leave because of the SJWs. They're fucking everywhere and you know it. So he abandoned his own creation and started something new from scratch. What more could he do?
Thomas Cox
Neat i no longer need to use the tor browser because i hate it.
Sebastian Ramirez
>slower than modern firefox (on desktop. about the same on mobile) >Partly closed-source
I suggest brave to all my normie friends, but for myself, firefox is the only browser worth using.
Henry Lopez
>tfw only have 5 BAT left
I guess I will only support 1 website this month.
Dominic Jones
>Install Brave on PC >Tabs randomly stop working (they're there but can't be re-opened or even closed, so I'm stuck on whatever tab I left off on) >Browser randomly stops working and have to restart >Takes 5 seconds to start up with no add-ons compared to Firefox or Chrome with add-ons starting up instantly >Uninstall
>Install Brave on mobile >Webms don't work on Sup Forums >Uninstall
Javashit (ElectronJs)... not even once
Mason Brown
He was fired because of SJWs. Also i am pretty sure they used Javascript pretty lightly, the complete opposite of its usage today.
William Thomas
Of course its more functional.
Brave packs all that shit in. You loose a little function for the convenience.
Its Chromium with adblock and a few other add-ons built in.
Blake Cooper
>Partly closed-source
It uses the Mozilla Public License, version 2
Logan Rogers
not shilling for brave (using palemoon now) but why the fuck do you browse Sup Forums from the phone? The UI is shit.
Luis Lopez
I thought there were parts of the adblocker that were proprietary.
I can't find any evidence at the moment so I guess that isn't true.
Chase Nguyen
For when I'm taking a shit at work
Gavin Morris
AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHHAHA oy vey my friend
Dominic Kelly
More functional, but slow as shit and buggy and unstable because Firefox.
Ryder Gutierrez
For when I'm using the washroom at home. I don't go here on my pc anymore. Too much lost productivity.
Joseph Miller
They even have people from the Tor Project working on Brave.
Parker Cooper
I respectfully disagree because Quantum, user. At any rate, I never used FF because of speed or stability. I care about features and mutability more, which is why I used it and not Chrome and KDE and not Gnome 3. :3
Connor Ortiz
i hate javascript and would never support anything created by him.
Oliver Brown
>Soon to implement a cryptocurrency that pays you if you decide to opt-in to ads
Intersted on that point
John Butler
What about a handcrafted flute he made in shop class that you must hold upright to keep the roof of an unstable cavern from collapsing in on you before the rescue teams arrive?
Christopher Moore
>Soon to implement a cryptocurrency that pays you if you decide to opt-in to ads Dropped.
Dominic Hill
I respectfully disagree because benchmarks, user.
Xavier Smith
Once twice THREE TIMES A CROSSPLATFORM EDITOR WITH A NEAT PLUGIN SYSTEM TO GET CODE LINTING!!! Also Discord is sadly da bess approximation of halcyon era IMs.
Lincoln Ortiz
...
Luke Edwards
>Soon to implement a cryptocurrency that pays you if you decide to opt-in to ads.
wtf? I love Brave now
Asher Johnson
yeah too bad you can't remove prebaked addons and script blocking is crap (everything or nothing)
Evan Edwards
So cute
Xavier Rivera
>(everything or nothing)
But you can.
Now granted, is still no perfect, but they are progressively adding stuff, I hope a new big update comes soon.
Thomas Hernandez
I'd use brave on android if it allowed to delete history and cookies on closing.
Xavier Evans
hm ok i give it a chance again just because for promised tor tabs and giving you cryptocurrency for enabling ads
Jaxon Campbell
Then why would Sup Forums give a shit about Brave, a browser literally nobody knows about outside of tech circles?
Evan Lewis
I hate anyone who tries to make me view ads.
Tyler Morgan
Brave saved me from the botnet ads here on Sup Forums when I'm phoneposting outside. I also got to stream anime without obnoxious ads wasting my time when I went on vacation. Ad-blockers don't even catch it.
5/5 browser
Carter Lewis
>no ublock origin >no umatrix >barely any extensions Dropped so fucking hard
Jeremiah Brooks
I'm waiting for dark themes support.
Joshua Mitchell
so, the onl way to install addons is to install them from source or is there less time-consuming way that I don't know? Also, it's shit at blocking ads.
Robert Bailey
Not only is it shit at blocking ads, they're trying to make you look at their own ads. It's not subtle.
Ryan Barnes
But Brave isn't popular ya big dummy.
Ryan Stewart
Is there any advantage over Vivaldi?
Nathan Long
>had to leave I though the board literally kicked him out.
I have been using Brave for a while but I'm probably going to switch back to FF soon. It just lacks so many nice and efficient features compared to FF, plus it's not even fucking blocking all ads correctly. Even fucking Sup Forums ads have found a way to get through Brave's adblock, atleast for me.
Leo Diaz
IceCat. Don't use Startpage unless you pay for an email address from them. Use Searx.me with results from Google instead.
Cameron Smith
Just use Clover then. It's designed to look good on mobile unlike Sup Forums's website.
Logan Barnes
>anti-Ad-blockers
Liam Rogers
Enable the blocking lists that you want to use in Brave's settings. Just like you'd do with uBlock Origin,
David Barnes
Why isn't it on f-droid?
Chase Gray
What's wrong with startpage?
Luke Taylor
+1 for Clover
Austin Cox
A negative I've found is there is no ssl certificate support.
Brayden Hill
does it have extensions?
Elijah Watson
i have. im just waiting for it to get more updates so i can use it full time.
James Gonzalez
Because no one added it I guess. It doesn't just magically appear there.
Cooper Rivera
oh shit nice. this browser is going to be so good after it gets some more work done to it.
Nicholas Perry
I'll get it when it comes to f-droid, you cant possible meme about muh privacy and only have it on google play and amazon, the companies that shit on privacy the most
Nathan Ross
>injects its own ads and holds website's own screenspace hostage
It's shit.
Justin Reed
Nope. That's why it's still irrelevent to people who root their phones and tablets. Or just use PC master race.
Thomas Rogers
>>Made by the guy who invented Mozilla and Javascript >invented Javascript WTF I hate Brave now!
Isaiah James
Well if it's any consolation, he is very against how javascript is used nowadays.
Jack Rivera
And I'm sure Hitler would feel "very bad" about the whole Jew thing if he were alive, but I'm not gonna hire him to MC my barmitzva!
Blake Price
I've tried Waterfox, FF Nightly, Pale Moon and Brave is best.
FF is slow and bloated with even a few addons.
Josiah Ross
Just side load the .apk off github
Nicholas Price
You have to enable that, but at least you tried.
Samuel Miller
So you are a Jew who is mad that Brave is disrupting your business model of serving malicious ads to people?
Good
Angel Jones
>JavaScript >Cancer
Kill yourself
Jayden Williams
I block ads entirely like a sensible person rather than allowing some opportunistic parasite inject his own ads into my machine under pretense of making the internet a better place.
Joseph Myers
lol@braveshills justifying this
Easton Williams
pretty good on iphone desu
Nicholas Morris
Pretty cool browser for your phone.
Leo Bell
STILL no treestyletabs. Won't switch until it has it.
Chase Rivera
>not so subtle shills
Jordan Lewis
Is it actually decent? Heard it wasn't bad on Android but heard really mixed things on desktop
Jayden Hughes
it's another cianigger trap
Nathan Diaz
GOAT mobile browser. The desktop version is still clunky.
