This thread is about the appreciation of whorology, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, or other timepiece.
i like the accutron (should have gotten the steel version though) and penisquartz (should have got the 0853-8025 though).
John Sanchez
Super old; hoping to get some new pictures once my latest buy arrives in a week or so, and before a bunch of stuff goes out for service.
Asher White
should have got a pre-maxi one user. too thicc for fancy clothes, too fancy for casual clothes
Connor Young
Your Constellation always gets me hard.
Robert Robinson
that constellation is fucking beautiful. Also digging that sub seconds what you got on the top right.
Nathaniel Watson
What brand of box is that? Looking to get my dad a replacement one since his last watch winder box broke.
Charles Brown
I prefer Spaceviews in gold. I like my 7143-7030 just fine, but I always have my eyes peeled for more at a fair price.
Brayden Murphy
The perfect watch face
post a more aesthetic and functional one
oh wait, you cant
Nicholas Carter
What's that chinky watch in the winder?
John Clark
My constellations are like among my ugliest watches (and I just bought another ugly one this morning). Are you two taking about this one?
Kendal brand, on Amazon. 50usd for 2+3, 100 for 4+6. Work pretty well for a cheap winder; would recommend
Lincoln Price
Probably this one? Vaguer Hauers Shi Chen, from good-stuffs
Juan Sanders
I want something thats both Sup Forums and /fa/ max 150 euro suggest away
Connor Hughes
>Post what you've got.
Matthew Collins
wanting something that both this board and /fa/ will like is a bit of a contradiction
Ayden Reyes
What do you rate it? I've never heard of Vaguer Hauers before, do they have a good reputation?
Jayden Mitchell
Current rotation. Not full collection.
Hudson Nelson
>blurry as shit 4mb phone image honestly user, fuck you
Kevin Morgan
They use a miyota 8xxx, which is the interior miyota family compared to their 9xxx. The dial is quite attractive. The case finishing is basic but fine. I'm happy with it for the price.
Adrian Gray
Do you wear it often?
Noah Brown
...
Noah Robinson
Not super often. It's a little late for my taste, but I probably wear it about once a month, which is about average given it's in a thirty watch rotation.
Ethan Campbell
i don't think the one in the winder is a constellation. bottom definitely is
Zachary Peterson
Pick one
Jeremiah Moore
Ok ok, ill try to fix it. Just a quick night stand pic you know... not that i expect doing any better with the phone now.
Hudson Wood
You didn't put a subject you fuck
Justin Powell
he also didn't tag it /wt/ fucking amateur
Luis Anderson
Then pretend it's April Fools day again and suggest something extra /fag/gy.
Andrew Allen
> My seamaster cosmic Super nice. 613 caliber, manual wind version of the 56x series. Rare dial with Arabic numerals. The cosmic was a remote of the cosmic line from the fifties (but now in a totally different look) to take advantage of the popularity of all things space in the sixties.
Oliver Wright
No it's not. My great grandmother's election Grand Prix from the 40s. Very clean for the era. Manual wind, oversized case.
Jonathan Richardson
Thats the best my phone-fu level allows me to get with shitty bedroom lights.
Mason Perez
I wasnt very clear i said i liked the constellation and the one on the winder but i was also wrong as it is actually a cosmic. I really like both of those but also the lemania stop watch is very nice. Oh and of course that luch
Aaron Turner
I'm a fan yep
Josiah Reed
much clearer and with a reduced file size thanks user! ^_^
Ryan Watson
wearing my alpenis today. haven't taken it off since my strapcode oyster arrived
Kevin Turner
I like the other one, sorry, should have clarified.
Christian Peterson
?
Gabriel Cooper
Yes. Hot.
Connor Kelly
Too bad I don't have the webm on my phone
Nathan Allen
What kind of watch is this and wtc?
Brody Harris
>whorology Wait, there's an entire science behind whores?
Easton Robinson
I got you familia.
Oliver Jenkins
Aids awareness watch
Dylan Diaz
Thanks, downloaded to phone for next time
Dominic Gray
>tattooed on watch >el tiempo latino >white boi in the back has ass like a girl >my feet hurt
Dylan Myers
left
Aaron Rodriguez
You got the Bulova one too?
Anthony Williams
Gotta be more specific, unless this is the one you're thinking of.
Jace Richardson
How come why
Kevin Anderson
Left.
Noah Jenkins
Left looks better.
Evan Bennett
Hnngngng, that's the stuff
Ayden Hall
lmao this thread is proof that watches are risers for wristlets
Elijah Morris
What?
Nicholas Nelson
A watch doesnt exactly make your wrist look any bigger
Camden Wright
Ok, I'll get the right one
Michael Robinson
You do you, but then why even ask?
Christian Smith
What's the cheapest COSC watch you can buy new?
Gabriel Flores
Probably a Tissot - the Tissot powermatic Chronometer can be had for 400usd or less.
Dylan Allen
>Tissot powermatic Chronometer Very interesting, I didn't expect it to be this cheap. I just looked at the Tudor North flag used prices for that angular aesthetic and noticed that most of them had the inhouse movement and cosc approval for around 2K € which I already thought was quite the bargain.
Dylan Wilson
Because I wanted to know what you'd get
Jonathan Gutierrez
...
Joshua Thomas
Honestly, they both look good, I just personally think the higher contrast of the hands on the black version is easier to read at a glance.
Looks good, do you plan to get the bracelet properly sized?
Jackson Thompson
Is there a way to acquire a nice Lord Quartz without going to yahoo.jp auctions?
Cameron Ward
I prefer the white one. But i have never seen them irl, so not sure.
Adam Green
I got that one from eBay for $60.
Ryan Diaz
Good to know, I have my eye on the 7853-7000 and other models with white face and the flatter case. Do some of them come with non Japanese daywheels?
Easton Watson
Most, if not all that I've seen have been Japanese and English.
Matthew Stewart
Thanks, I feared that there was some aftermarket modding required.
Adrian Gutierrez
Is it just the angle of the photo, or are the top markers a bit misaligned?
Asher Stewart
I prefer the tan nato strap on the seiko but the leather isnt bad
Ryan Martin
And the hour hand has some dire finishing, looks like I did it with my shitty tools.
Ryan Lewis
I think virtually all Lord/King/Grand quartz were JDM only models, so if it has a day wheel then it'll have kanji days.
Jace Brooks
Could it be dist on the crystal?
Liam King
>another shitty general forgot title
Landon Edwards
Mine, and the ones a few of my meatspace buddies own all have kanji+english day wheels.
Joshua Morgan
Dust, rather.
Bentley Hernandez
Today in the mail I got a (supposedly) NOS Shanghai, and a fucking NOS Cosmotron. It's completely unworn, it even has the original caseback film.
It does have a very tiny chip at 7:30 so my guess is it was dropped once in the store in the 70's and then never sold.
Jaxon Williams
That's wild, very cool user
Hudson Baker
i really like the colour user.
Chase Perry
I'm supposed to service it then sell it, but ask yourself: would you if you were in my place?
James Wilson
Fuck, nice.
Benjamin Lee
...
Thomas Carter
What are the floral banded watches, the diver beneath the flamingo and the bass watch watch next to the flamingo.
Hunter Cox
I should have worded myself a bit more cleary I realize: I want the English day and feared that they would only have Japanese wheels. Appearantly they are bilingual from the factory.
Logan Moore
Still one of my favorite wt collections, and looks like you've added some stuff since that last photo. Very nice user.
Easton Jackson
Great collection.
Jonathan Phillips
I used to have a Casio film watch, like the one pictured, either it showed analogue time or digital time with a dolphin thing going back and forth in the bottom half each second. The area around the circle was mirrored and the resin strap just slid on to the watch, predictably the strap got caught at a gig and it fell off, I found it after and the face was broken.
Aiden Powell
How much did you get the chronostop for? I'm very jelly.
Nathan Sanders
What's the story behind the 90 degree turned dial?
Gabriel Taylor
Nice collection, I have not seen the pepsi bezel before
Logan Cook
What's the ref for that seamaster on the left? The royal oak style of case calls to me.
Brandon Davis
Is that a 45xx King Seiko? Have you posted it here before? I don't recall seeing it. Nice collection overall.
It's a chronostop, designed to be worn by racing drivers on the back of their wrist, that way the dial is the right way up when they look at it whilst driving.
