What are the practical applications of torrenting over a phone? How is this a good idea in almost any circumstance?

only transmission clients are useful

i only have fanboy's ultimate list and adaway's lists.

anything else i need

> What are the practical applications of torrenting over a phone?
Basically good for just about everything that you'd do on a desktop or laptop. Even streaming to a TV.

> How is this a good idea in almost any circumstance?
How is it not? Smartphones are full computers, and actually quite powerful ones (not as compared to desktop monster machines of course, but just in terms of what they can do every second).

i torrent ebooks

a lot more

>fanboy's ultimate list
Seems kinda pointless to add since it's not in hosts file format?

Scratch that, I use Document Viewer for everything now, it can do everything.

How trustworthy are DNS66 and Blokada? Should I root my new Z2 Play just to get a proper adblock?

ehviewer on a tablet is great.

they're open source, and you don't need root access with Blokada (not sure about DNS66)

I know they're open source, I'm asking how safe is routing my DNS requests through VPN to some third party.
If I root then I could apply the blocklists locally, but it's a pain in the ass.

being open source you can rest assured they're just applying hosts files through the VPN, and not re-directing to some remote server or keeping logs or whatever

I've been using this instead, github.com/StevenBlack/hosts is it any good?

Is there any icon packs that work with Kiss Launcher?

Nova or Kiss launcher?

not user you replied to but what do you think lol

>no mention of Conversations yet

proof that you're all retards

termux
that's all.

Nova and Whicons

Does free nova have ads or anything?

Any recommended file managers?

>using any version of Firefox on android
IT'S LAGGY AS FUCK. USE CHROME

botnet

torrenting on mobile is good desu say your out and hear about music from someone or wanna grab an album that you forgot to get before you left your house you can just download it. Also good for Linux iso images as you can mount them on your phone and use it like you would a USB drive to install them

i have xabber online all the time but i don't have any friends

ES Pro when it's on sale

delet this

KISS launcher

MiXplorer

Any free alternative to MyFitnessPal?

I use one called Flud. I was at someone's house bored out of my mind and I downloaded some Dragonball super episodes. Worked great!

is there any reason to switch from adaway to this, if I have root?

I'm considering switching from iOS to android, but I'm wondering, is the play store mandatory like the app store is for iPhones?
or would I be able to ignore google and just install things using my PC?

is this a vpn?

No.

>slide
Good taste
>inb4 u have 2 go back

I was until it started crashing randomly multiple times a day

Thank you

Leave your jid and you'll have one

Upboat

It's not. Use Transdroid+OpenVPN to manage a proper *nix seedbox.

Riot.im - Matrix client. Much nicer than IRC by itself.

You can technically disable it and download its applications through Yalp, a FOSS application available on F-Droid. Unlike iOS, you can technically install applications in very much the same way you can on Windows: grab the .apk file from somewhere, run it, and boom. Your application is installed, all without passing through the Play Store.
You don't have to log in to a Google account to use Yalp, nor any application. However, if you want to remove Google applications completely, you must root. Without doing so, you can only disable them. Still, you can keep a reasonably low amount of G's botnet even without rooting.

Can I sync LibreNews with a desktop RSS client?

I use Puppy Linux like this on my old phone, before i lost it :'/

Ahkyou no longer works well, haven't really tested cool reader, mupdf has a shitty interface, I'm using a botnet version of fbreader, too lazy to move on from fennec due to the hassle of backing shit up, lightning is out of date, buggy and insecure, newpipe has no comments, nhbooks crahses constantly and fails at saving some third of the images, nori isn't updated and seldom used but works adequately.
Not pictured: red moon, tachiyomi (rip batoto), wikijourney, yalp store.
Cyanogen file explorer came built in with the phone, and a use the default google keyboard.

...

botnet

*guru meditation*

> just an interface to org-mode
> synced with Synthing to my desktop
> on f-droid
Literally the perfect to-do/agenda app to organize everything.

Still can't import subscriptions, dropped

no, at least i didnt noticed any

Tachiyomi can be used for both comics and manga.

it's fantastic

What the fuck is CM Launcher?

use KISS, mang

I won't lose functionality?

The taste is shitty

What is the best way to sync and backup over wifi? Currently i'm using titanium backup, sms backup&restore and syncthing but it is not very reliable solution.

Is there any notepad app which could sync with mac notes.app?

AntennaPod

Not trying to have good taste. Just trying to enjoy myself.

It's great, also use it for regular RSS feeds.
