Is it a viable browser for Android?
Is it a viable browser for Android?
Other urls found in this thread:
play.google.com
twitter.com
It's only viable to pr0n and things that you don't want to show up in your main browser.
>what is anonymous/incognito mode?
It have a lot of things already loaded up, like cookie cleaning and shit like that.
Just use IceCatMobile.
How about Brave?
Yes I have it set to my default browser. I also have ff nightly, but I only use it if I want to save a tab for later.
good for opening links in emails or from other apps. it's missing tabs though so i prefer normal firefox for regular browsing.
Shitty Chrome fork, if you are going to botnet, go full botnet, the REAL thing.
IceCatMobile 52 does not load webpages at all for me. It does not even attempt to load them. If I enter a URL in the address and hit enter, nothing happens
not even good for that. It's shit at blocking ads.
this
Chrome with integrated addblock
Literally the only way to go on android
This desu.
It has tabs. Long press on a link.
Tried it, sucks ass. You can't even edit search engines.
Better than Brave (doesn't open embedded webm's for me), but I use Brave most time
It doesn't tho, it's just a shitty "save for later"
>can't ctrl+f
Use Brave, don't care if it's a bloody botnet but at least has adblock in it.
Show another better browser and i'll be glad to change it.
I dunno. I use Microsoft Edge for Android devices™
...
play.google.com
I'm using this after opera ridden with ads, spamming notification and run on background 24/7. Gonna miss the vpn and turbo..
firefox for android is pretty shit tho
Nightly is slightly better, at least it doesnt lags so often.
I like it but normal Firefox or fennec is better
I used to use this and it was amazing, but if you read the description the dev says it's deprecated.
Samsung Internet is pretty neat.
Been using it for a year + now, yeah thanks i didn't know it stopped being update. I'm back and forth between opera and ff before, too bad probably going back again to opera.
>somebody asks to use your phone
yeah if you have a 5 years old phone,
otherwise is pretty great
From the perspective of a person who used to pile up pages for later (more than 100 at a time), it's great me. I don't pile tabs up anymore because its more convinient to do the stuff now instead of saving it in notepad.
Also the fastest mobile browser out there. From experience. I love using it with duckduckgo '!g/yt/gi' searches to search on a chosen website instantly.
Yes for anything that doesn't need logging in
>brave
its a marketing scheme
> cuck store
Install f-droid and then Firefox Klar
You don't need fdroid to install Klar
I want to find it in the ftp mozzila
Difference between klar and focus?
Klar is the german name, and the F-Droid version
Brave is GOAT, try it
no. use firefox klar on f-droid
Literally just a shell for webkit without an implementation for history
It's fast because it's not based on mozilla
just use naked browser you pleb
I've had some trouble with web pages just plain not loading at all and then it works fine when checking on stock browser.
Other than that works great and seems to be one of the most lightweight / nice looking browsers available
It really is.
It being awful is entirely unrelated to performance, too.
but I still use it anyway because lol add-ons
well, android is a fucking botnet anyway, so why not...
>google playstore
Lmao desu
There's waterfox for android now. Get it.
Klar has telemetry disabled by default because EU is against user tracking.
>Firefox Klar is a version of Firefox Focus for Germany, Austria and Switzerland
with user activity tracking disabled by default.
Reminder to hide and report all shill posts from Brave devs. It's literally adware. It just replaces ads on the web with its own (((acceptable))) ads, and steals the revenue
It's my daily phone browser. I don't visit any heavy sites on my phone anyway, it's too slow. So for quick and basic browsing, it's totally viable
Firefox Focus has in built analytics telemetry that sends your browsing data to a German marketing company
Use Firefox Klar from f-droid. It's the same as Firefox Focus but without the spyware that the EU made them remove
It does tho
>no settings whatsoever
into the trash it goes
I tried it yesterday. It was on my phone for 1min total.
>is fast as fuck
>lightweight
>was not able to show my university's website properly (that site is very poorly optimized though)
Any suggestions for a comparable iOS browser for an iPad? I'm looking for something that blocks ads and trackers (similar to Ghostery).
>sacrificing every fucking feature just because it's supposedly "pro-privacy"
Jesus Christ, just use this option.
> ghostery
How new are you? It literally sells you data to ad companies.
