you can audit the code and see for yourself.

Does anyone actually ever do this?
I sorta suspect that people rely on others to audit the code and blogs to make a shitstorm out of it but in reality nobody ever actually reads the code or changes

I think it would trivial to check if your code is accessing any networking libraries/syscalls

yea but once again how many people actually do this

Nobody that's how systemd came into place. Originally the whole point of Linux was to be audited and open source which it is but with the adaptation of systemd over 2 million lines of code and increasing its a mess and never will happen

at least you know what does "botnet" mean?

get of Sup Forums

so you don't know. ok enjoy your thread

get of my board newfag

it's ok, you can learn a lot of things if you research enough.
Here's something you can start with: f-secure.com/en/web/labs_global/botnets

you're obviously new here, because in Sup Forums anything that uses tracking, analytics, ads, etc. is a botnet. we don't care about what you say is the real (((definition))). now lurk moar or gtfo

>in Sup Forums anything that uses tracking, analytics, ads, etc. is a botnet
According to who? You?

wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php/Botnet
according to the Sup Forums wiki

>looking for alternative apps because everything on linux is shit
>find something related to kde
>200 package dependencies that mostly provide unnecessary abstraction
>runs 30 spooky kdeinit/kded/kio/kwallet processes in the background
>spooky processes don't exit when app exits
>they respawn after sigterm

>anything that uses tracking, analytics, ads, etc. is a botnet.
Don't forget anything that's accused of doing those things without any evidence.

And anything that at least a vocal minority of Sup Forums simply doesn't like.

according to Sup Forums
all definitions are technically arbitrary. that's how language works.

>systemd
No it was always like that, which is why openbsd tried to be different and only include fully audited code.

reminder that gnome uses facebook logins and tracking services

fsf is supported by google and intel, with your braindead mentality rms is botnet too.

Of course he his you dumbfuck only terry davis isnt

Is this your first time on Sup Forums?

just look at the list of companies supporting and contributing to Linux...

When did trolltech become the Qt company?

lincucks blown the fuck out

Like a decade ago when nokia bought them.
