To much irony in that picture.

External keyboard caps lock lights don't work
Nonstandard keyboard layout
Command + x/c/v for cut/copy/paste instead of CTRL + x/c/v
Pressing delete in finder does nothing. Must use command + backspace to move to trash
Enter in finder renames file instead of opening it
Maximize button doesn't maximize
Clicking a programs icon in dock doesn't minimize/restore
Menu bar doesn't extend across multiple monitors. Must go to primary monitor to open menus for programs on secondary screen
No proper package manager
Finder has no option to show hidden files, must execute a terminal command and kill finder
No preview of program windows when hovering over the dock icons
Lol no ports. Lol just use a dongle
Filesystem isn't case sensitive
Glossy screen instead of matte. Not even the excuse of being a touchscreen
Don't even get me started on xcode

Go away pol.

>OSX isn't *nix

I do, user. macOS on my laptop, Linux on my workstation.

>macOS is bad because it isn't exactly like Windows
Also, many of these are wrong.

GNU/Linux or Android/Linux?

Fairly slow on my system through hackintosh.

Not looking to buy a mac anything unless I happen to get rich or something.

because I'm technology user, not 'enthusiast'.

It's called macOS and unlike GNU/Linux or BSD it's actually UNIX. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_UNIX_Specification

>all *nix aren't made the same
same kernel
same benefits

only difference is unix and osx cost money so are more polished and have more developers for major programs.

thx for the list I get myself a mac tomorrow and this will help when I start the real computing xp.

>Finder has no option to show hidden files, must execute a terminal command and kill finder

Wrong. Alt+Cmd+.

You forgot CAN'T BROWSE RAR FILES/ ARCHIVES LIKE A COMPUTER SHOULD.

I actually built a hackintosh on another drive, though I havent used it in months.
Can't game on that shit.

are you implying this is a good thing?

>Maximize button doesn't maximize
THIS

Linux confirmed cringe tech.

>lights
werks4me
>nonstandard keyboard
>cmd rather than control
>del in file explorer
>enter in file explorer
different is bad u guise!
>maximize doesnt maximize
No, it zooms the window to the maximum size of its content. Why do you hate efficient use of screen space user?
>clicking doesn't minimize
different, bad, faggot, etc.
>menubar doesn't extend
That hasn't been true for years
>no package manager
What is homebrew? What is macports?
>no show hidden files option
Wrong again, faggot.
>no preview
That's what Mission Control is for - swipe up on the touchpad or mouse.
>lol no ports
Using deprecated ports in 2017. lol.
>non case sensitive fs
Case sensitivity is irritating and user hostile
>glossy screen
Matte screens are a meme
>xcode
This I will give you. Xcode is a pile of shit.

>browsing archive files rather than using a dedicated archive program

Windows antipatterns are not a design for the rest of the computing world to follow, faggot-kun.

Cringe

2017+1

Actual technology enthusiast. I use pretty much every operating system on every obscure piece of hardware I can. This includes Mac OS X on Apple hardware and on my own through hackintoshing. Though for my main machine, I use a ThinkPad X230 with Windows 10 LTSB because it just works.

>When I rapidly mash the Caps Lock key like a spastic retard it doesn't always light up. What a useless product!

>Durrr the keyboard ain't like muh Winders keyboard

>Durrr the shortcuts ain't like muh Winders shortcuts

>Durrr the window controls ain't like muh Winders controls

>Clicking a programs icon in dock doesn't minimize/restore

I have no idea what you even mean here.

>Menu bar doesn't extend across multiple monitors. Must go to primary monitor to open menus for programs on secondary screen

100% false. Each display has its own menu bar with its foremost application's menus.

>No proper package manager

brew.sh

>Finder has no option to show hidden files, must execute a terminal command and kill finder

Cmd + Shift + .

>No preview of program windows when hovering over the dock icons

Even better than having to haul your mouse cursor over to the Dock like a mongoloid, you can just swipe either up or down with four fingers on a trackpad and get a nice overview of your open windows. (Or use Ctrl + ↑ / ↓ or F3 on the keyboard) And we've had that since 2008.

>Filesystem isn't case sensitive

Alright now you're not even trying.

>Glossy screen instead of matte. Not even the excuse of being a touchscreen

You can still buy a MacBook Air if glossy screens trigger you so much.

Which distro?

>different is bad u guise!
Non-standard keyboard is shit by definition, because it's not standard.
Using anything other than the button literally called "delete" for deleting files by default is retarded.
Enter is better used for opening files than for renaming them, because you open files more often than rename them.
>Why do you hate efficient use of screen space user?
You're ignoring that Apple could have just added an extra button that actually maximizes windows, and then mac OS would actually have an extra feature instead of a tradeoff.
>Using deprecated ports in 2017. lol.
Using hubs for everything in 2018. lol.
>Case sensitivity is irritating and user hostile
99% of average users couldn't even tell whether their file system is case sensitive or not, and more advanced users prefer it over case-insensitive crap.
>Matte screens are a meme
No, matte screens are more practical, but then the macbook wouldn't look so shiny and normies wouldn't buy it.

Proper file managers can take advantage of software written by third parties for mounting network shares or opening archives, so the program doesn't become one monolithic mess while still offering a wide range of functionality. It's pretty ironic that you think archive managers are dedicated programs btw, when most of them come with support for a bunch of random archive types, and not just the one they are named after (e.g. 7zip, winzip, winrar).

their autism and street shitting routine doesn‘t allow it
