Should I sell my gtx 1070 and motherboard for two quadros and a better motherboard?

I'm looking at the Chronusmax Plus so I can use my current sim racing wheel (Logitech Driving Force) on current systems since GranTurismo6 is going offline in March.
What even is this thing, and should I consider other adapters/kits to do the same thing, or would it be less headache to just get a new wheel?
I'll be using the wheel for PS4 GranTurismo Sport and/or PC games like Assetto Corsa, and American Truck Simulator. Or if I get the adapter would I be able to use it on Xbone for Forza?
Also if I start using my PC for gaming more I'll need to add a vid card since my MOBO vid outs are occupied by the two monitors sitting on my desk.

I'm installing a front mounted AIO radiator, as an intake.

Should the fans be on the inside of the radiator, pulling air through the rad, or mounted outside the rad and thus pushing air through it?

Can't find SHIT online.

i cannot get standard view in gmail to load in chrome, tried incognito as well with no extensions on, any ideas? googling hasnt given me anything

I use keepviddotcom

should I watch the office?

Moving up from 8 to 16 GB RAM, should I just get another pair of what I got or a fresh pair of 8 GBs? Leaning towards the former cause it's cheaper and it's RAM who gives a shit.

So the only thing I might ever want to hoard is porn, cause even if it sounds hedonistic or whatever, it's the only thing I won't get tired of, unlike the more pinky-out arts, like (non-pornographic) film. But there are two things stopping me. Since I don't get tired of porn, I don't need more porn, and (I guess it's only the one reason) since I don't get tired of it, a 222kb badly compressed twitter drawing does the same for me as a 2GB 3-hour runtime JAV, so there is incentive for me to not bother with larger filesize porn.

I just don't understand how anyone gets there when it comes to hoarding porn, anyway, since with film and books it's more about legacy or the principle of archiving the thing than you ever caring for the thing more than once in your lifetime. Do people who hoard porn forfeit it being something more than lowest common denominator porn? I'm not sure how to into it.

As long its the same Size and Timings it should be fine.

How can I use the windows 7 classic theme without tearing? I'm using the aero theme, because it forces V-sync, but looking at it makes me wanna puke.

I'm not that tech-savvy, but if your question is dual-channel RAM of the same type, or quad-channel (dunno if that's a thing) RAM of the same type, I believe I was told dual-channel RAM has benefits over single-channel RAM, so always go for that. Also matching RAM brands is important, like with batteries or something, maybe for different reasons.

Any suggestions for setting up a CentOS samba file share attached to a Windows domain?

very stupid question. Yes but stop as soon as Will Ferrel joins the cast, then start again when James Spader joins.

lame ass gamer tripfag.

Is there a way to increase the resolution of text and stuff in Firefox without using the zoom function?
Some fonts and icons looks blurry and not so good at 100%, unless I use the zoom function to increase the resolution.

I'm trying to install AppchanX on Firefox. I have greasemonkey installed and previously all I had to do was click install and I would be good. Now instead I am sent to a page of code. I have tried pasting the code into a greasemonkey userscript, which it picks up as being appchanx, but it does not apply it to Sup Forums.

I made a thread on /o/ and they said go to Sup Forums so I guess I'll be on my way then.
thanx user

would a tiling wm like i3 be good for a laptop? in terms of resource usage it would be better but i'm really just concerned that it will
a) be too complicated to install/use
b) not cover as much of the screen as would be preferable on a small screen

How much better is a nvidia 970 compared to a 770 ti?

Besides 200

videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

Huge amount.
Still a 970 is a gimped card.

It doesn't make a real difference. Option B *may* be cheaper in the long term if you later decide to upgrade to 32gb and your mobo only has four slots. Option A is confirmed to be cheaper right now.

I think I'm going with the cheaper upgrade because any upgrade in ram is going to be a half measure til I get a mb that supports ddr4 anyway. and even that I'm sitting on until prices go down enough for the marginal benefit.

is this a good hdmi audio extractor? I need it to go to from my pc to my logitech z680 speakers. Is it going to fuck up with my HDMI signal and mess with how it reports display resolutions and things to the monitor? Specifically like creating different resolutions in xrandr and stuff in linux.

monoprice.com/product?p_id=24278

also what about additional input lag?

How do I hardsub chinese cartoons with fancy animay fonts in wangblows (ffmpeg)? It always uses Arial.

Well I mean even if it's gimped but a huge improvement then... it's a huge improvement. My friend gave it to me so.

Is there a way to check if my cpu is bottlenecking me? Like if the upgrade is gonna do anything?

What CPU you got?

Intel core i5 2500 3.3ghz

I'm gonna guess yes.

I5-2500K or I5-2500?

i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30 GHz is exactly what (speedfan) says

It could be either I5-2500 or I5-2500K at stock settings and it wouldn't be bottlenecked.
Try Speccy next time to check stuff like this.

Well thank you user, I appreciate your answers.

Only high end GTX 1000 cards (GTX 1070 or better) are bottlenecked by Sandy bridge I5, even overclocked.

I'm kind of surprised. This is an old as fuck CPU.

They're not weak, also this is why you get unlocked CPUs instead locked CPUs.
They will be bottlenecked by everything except low end next generation though.

I'm kind of scared to overclock anyhow desu. I do not have the money to fuck around and buy a new CPU if I break it

Best outdoor security cameras for ~100 a camera?

Just dont touch voltage and increase speed, no damage is done but you can only increase it a bit, to reach crazy speeds (5GHz) you need increase voltage.

In new motherboards they can do overclock for you with 1 click in BIOS, but think it of a B+ overclock, not for unsafe but because its not perfect and good as a manual OC, but atleast its retardproof.

Is there a way to save more than one thing on the Windows clipboard?

How accurate is this image? I'm trying to get into IT but I can't afford school.

Pushing air from the case to the radiator you monkey

>calls me a monkey
you're a monkey

>PHP Certification
not very

You're wrong, monkey. Its an intake. So what you said makes no sense.

Who let you monkeys on the Internet

Anyone? I can follow a guide, I am asking if anyone has a guide they've used and/or would recommend.

I finally found one person talking about this online. They said

"Optimally, the fans should be positioned so they pull air through the radiator instead of pushing it through. Also, using them to suck air in means cooler temps and far more dust... So much more cleaning required. I run mine as exhaust with a bunch of air flow through my case to minimize internal ambient temps and found on my setup that this is the optimal method for my case and air flow."

So now who is the monkey?

hi everyon

i want to record the audio and video of part of a film and remove the background noise. I tried cropping the vlc video player to just the characters head so that i would only get the audio from his head and not from the rest of the video sincd its croped out it shouldnt be playing anymore?

The fans on my new computer are louder than I expected. I think that it's mainly the CPU fan. It sounds louder than my last computer. How loud should a desktop PC be?

What's the point of having more than one Pcie 16x slots?
Aside from crossfiring GPU.

what's the most reliable 2TB+ SATA II hard drive these days? for long term data storage

Is there a single thing I can do about the Intel performance drop lately? I shouldn't be dropping frames in a fucking fighting game.

miner faggotry?

stock/cheap fans are often loud. If you find you system too loud, look into better quality system fans and CPU cooler.

How the FUCK do i fix the Windows 10 taskbar problem? 1 pc of the company where i work got this bug after the last update and it can use both the start button ad the task bar. I have tried all the fix that i found but still not working

Nah. Doesn't really have much to do with gaming.

Will gpu prices ever go down?

Yes, according to Newton, what goes up must come down

Where to stream movies that doesn't require me to download shit like popcorntime?

I upgraded from i7 920 to 8600k cpu and motherboard. Attempting to boot from my old windows 7 partition causes a bluescreen. What’s the ideal way to save the data on the partition. Trying to avoid having to rebuild the 920 motherboard to backup the install.

Alright so I'm pretty sure I have a virus that's using my computer to mine bitcoins. What do I do?

Malwarebytes didn't pick up anything but I just have the free version. Purge my HDD?

How do I get started with cryptocurrency mining? I have a 1080 Ti and an 8 year warranty, I don't care if it's a meme or not, other people want to buy it, might as well sell it.

Is there a proper guide to EventGhost somewhere? The documentation I found was pretty lacking and stuff like parsing arguments from event sources I had to figure out basically through trial and error.

I need a decent microphone. Preferably something that can clip onto my monitor or that doesn't consume much desk real estate, and either USB or 3.5mm would work. I don't need godly quality, just something reliable for voice chatting and maybe a bit of light recording. Any recommendations?

Is there a printer that uses FLOSS drivers? Not expecting a free hardware but at least free drivers.

budget? idk. mod mic? or mic on the logitech 920

>budget
My last one was a $30 USB clip that I got from RadioShack and shit out after a bit of transportation, anything in that range is good.

To clarify what I mean by this, for example on a macro I made to receive the battery level from my tablet and display it on screen for a little while, I made a "Show OSD" action with the following content

Current battery level: {eg.event.payload.arpar[1]}%

Time since last full charge
{eg.event.payload.arpar[2]} d {eg.event.payload.arpar[3]} h {eg.event.payload.arpar[4]} m {eg.event.payload.arpar[5]} s

Drain: {eg.event.payload.arpar[6]}% per day

This {eg.event.payload.arpar[#]} shit was not documented anywhere as far as I could tell, and I had a bitch of a time finding out how to actually reference the variables that were being passed in from AutoRemote. Got other kinds of stuff I want to try but it's such a hassle figuring out the specific syntax for things when I can't find anywhere to look it up, for now resorted to having any kind of calculation or manipulation of values happen inside my tablet and pass everything over in fully processed form ready to be displayed, but that feels like an awkward workaround at times.

this is such a small and autistic thing to give a shit about

Why do skullcandy headphones break so easily? I've had these for not even a week and the left side keeps going out

Could anyone give advice on a good laptop for gaming but doesn't look like a freaking spaceship and cost a fortune.

What terms should I look for when trying to get the BIOS screen to show when my cable is plugged in the GPU?
Have to plug into motherboard vga then swap it to gpu before I select the OS.

For games, is it better to run an SSD or a very high speed HDD.

Because almost all Skullcandy products are cheaply made garbage and as a brand they're only good for their earbuds which are the best sound quality you can get at poverty price.

Doesn't exist. Gaming laptops are a shitty meme and you will never ever get anywhere near your money's worth. You can pick two out of three from Price, Performance, and Portability.

SSD but if you have to ask you're probably not going to see any meaningful difference.

>Doesn't exist. Gaming laptops are a shitty meme and you will never ever get anywhere near your money's worth. You can pick two out of three from Price, Performance, and Portability.

I see, well I just want something that can handle light and casual games, like csgo/dota2/overwatch/rainbow6siege and total war games.
At 1080p60fps, lowest settings.

What kind of plug is this? I'm living in a dorm in Germany and I don't recognize this.

First I would recommend getting some taste that isn't absolutely garbage, then I'd recommend checking your local Wal-Mart.

You won't see a big difference user. Even games like civ 5 on SSD that takes ages to load

>First I would recommend getting some taste that isn't absolutely garbage
No thanks, I like my casual games.
>then I'd recommend checking your local Wal-Mart.
Don't have Wal-Mart in EU.

Just broke my Mint PC. What other distro should I try next? Preferably one that's easy on 10 years old hardware and has thumbnail filepicker.

Could be a TAE connector.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/TAE_connector

Telephone socket

No. That's a pretty retarded question.

TAE connector user. Next time, run your pic through Google images if you have doubts

>Don't have Wal-Mart in EU.
Then your supermarket equivalent or failing that, go to Amazon, go to the laptops section, sort by lowest price first, and buy the first thing that comes up.

I feel like I'm missing out on the VR fun happening at the moment but it feels like an awkward time to buy, what with the Vive Pro coming later in the year and Oculus/Facebook remaining silent for so long. Reviews are very mixed with WMR and it's nowhere near as cheap in Europe compared to the US (Dell Visor is like $200 in America but like £400 in the UK).

What do?

Well, I have 300 gigs of porn. As a porn-hoarder I'd say find a private tracker for porn like pornbay and then just go ham on what gets you off,and be mindful of your ratio. Also freelech times are a godsend. Another thing to consider is the resolution the porn was shot in.

Good luck.

Rift CV1 is your best bet for entry level. WMR is retard garbage.

get a job faggot

they're rebranded chinese headphones

I have an ancient visual style on my OS (Placebo by SolMiler) and it had a Stylish script to brighten the text in the dropdown menus for Firefox. Now that I've updated to Quantum and the style can't affect this part of Firefox, is there anything I can edit in the .css to rectify the situation? It's almost impossible to read now.
