Did you try the d3d11 renderer with wine 3.x?
It's faster than opengl for me! :D

>what's next?
ffplay

Naaaaah...
Next big thing is haasnmotioninterpolation and the next small thing is probably a RCA alternative.

Next madVR leak when? :)

How is the android port of mpv?
Does support playing over network? Does it support custom gestures? Does it support custom playback speed?
And is there a build for android kitkat?

>using top level software
>on deprecated os

>Does support playing over network?
yes
>Does it support custom gestures?
Does it support custom playback speed?
no and no
>And is there a build for android kitkat?
why are you using an outdated, unsupported operating system?

:DDD

Killing madvr

Linux ecosystem is so fucking shit now.

It's already dead... unfortunately.
Competition was good but now mpv is supreme.

I wish I could change the settings for each shader live without having to edit the file all the times

You can make a bind for it in input.conf
In bed right now so I don't have my conf to give an example sorry

Cant you do this with autoprofiles or cycling values with an input.conf bind?

Installed this but no pictures. Blank.
What next?

>can't compile a single software correctly
>asked "what next?" on Sup Forums
kill yourself retard

I have an intel HD3000 GPU, can a kind sir please help me setup my config so as to optimize it for my GPU?

Sorry but it's not a GPU at all, just a stupid chipset. You should use an empty mpv.conf file for this kind of deprecated things.

Does MPV have a toolbar and right click menu yet or is still the same featureless shit for pathetic weeb betalords

Everything is configurable, dude.
Mpv has no limit at all.

>Sorry but it's not a GPU at all
>at all
Sorry, but that's wrong.

Please explain...
No retarded wikipedia copy&paste please.

Because I'm using an outdated device.
It's chink tablet from 2012, no custom ROM, so I just use it for media consumption.
What media player that support playback speed for android?

Create your own ROM or leave Sup Forums.

the Intel HD3000 is what's called an "iGPU", which is an Integrated Graphics Processing Unit. it may not be dedicated, but it is still a GPU.

igv already "killed" madvr (NGU) with FSRCNNX (Charbonnier).

Literally an "I've never touched a titty" piece of software.

Can anyone help me figure out why this piece of shit script won't work?

github.com/kevinlekiller/mpv_scripts/tree/master/autospeedwin

Nothing even shows up in the log file. It's like the script refuses to load.

B-but it's way slower than NGU Sharp.

Bjin, haasn, where are you? :(

Prove it! NGU won the last round!

Why not using interpolation with tscale=oversample?

I would gladly like to see an example of it.
(hint: you can't bind it)

I'm still on VLC. Give me a legitimate reason to use literally anything else.

What the difference between profile = opengl-hq and = gpu-hq

the name

Do you mean that the difference is in the name or they're the same thing (if so which one is deprecated so I can update my config file)

thanks

they're the same, opengl-hq is deprecated

Is anybody in helping mood tonight? All I want to do is take screenshot in same directory of video. On windows.

Is there a way to get rid of chapter marks in the osc? I don't like them because they spoil shit like if there are after credits scenes.

try screenshot-directory="%{working-directory}"

It's literally creating directory named %{working-directory} inside the video folder now.

Is there a way to run mpv in single instance only?

try it without the quotes then

Goes to desktop when done without quotes.

try screenshot-directory=""

working now!
Why the fuck was this so hard to figure out? Fucking hate mpv because of this.

so I'm playing entire folders/albums with `mpv .`

is there any way to remove the gap between songs as they load so there's a smooth transition?

8 > low
16 > medium
24 > high
32 < very high

>what's next?
maybe fix the fast-seek bug

works on my machine

n cycle-values glsl-shaders "path_to_shader" "path_to_shader2"

How do i change the uglyass default ""skin"" of this fucker

Some1 sauce me up with a theme/frontend library or whatever the hell the devs call it

Also holy fucking hell, why the FUCK does the scroll wheel function as a timeskip button when i open a m3u radio stream thru mpv

It's supposed to be the VOLUME regulator jesus

Fucking hell man who even programmed this shit seriously

go to the manual and press ctrl+f

>"skin"
>zero results
>"scroll"
>zero results

Gee real helpful thanks

because you're better off taking advantage of your monitor's ability to change refresh rates for the framerate of the media instead of having to deal with shit compromises. oversample has some type of "ghosting" and everything else is just different levels of blurring.

try ctrl+q on the manual

I'm guessing your new to this. Look up mpv frontends on your favorite search engine. All it has is an OSC by default to give basic functionality during playback. Development moves too fast and any kind of GUI is just going to hold it back.

Lol xDDDD

>Changed the stupidass input.conf file or whatever it's called (which is laughable in 2018) to assign wheel_up and wheel_down to the volume action
>Buggy piece of shit now crashes every time i try to open a file

What a fucking joke seriously

No wonder nobody wants to use this giant turd of a player

>Also holy fucking hell, why the FUCK does the scroll wheel function as a timeskip button when i open a m3u radio stream thru mpv
>
>It's supposed to be the VOLUME regulator jesus
I actually agree with this. Default mpv bindings are so retarded it made me delete mpv on my first try.

retard filter

>which is laughable in $CURRENT_YEAR
It's funny how GUI children think that text-based software is going anywhere. Even on Windows, the operating system for GUI children, some of the biggest improvements are to the console. Microsoft are also working on console support for UWP apps.

...

Damn you nigga dumb.

Unironicly vlc.

What about GPU usage?

I am running Xubuntu 17.10 with latest 4.15 RC kernel on my HTPC with i5-8400 Coffee Lake integrated graphics (modesetting driver). I am using compton for compositor with GLX backend, which gives me no tearing. All fine. BUT with mpv display-resample i get a lot of mistimed and delayed frames, which is annoying. If i switch Compton backend to xrender i get no mistimed/delayed frames but i get tearing... Xfce compositor is of course disabled. How do i get no tearing while at the same time avoiding mistimed/delayed frames with display-resample?

>right click menu
moron

Just compared 24 and NGU vh, performance is the same for me, and sometimes FSRCNNX_24 looks a bit better. Overall NGU vh is probably better because it's a bit sharper.

Which GPU? Please note that with chroma doubling set to "let madVR decide", madVR will actually do NGU Medium quality doubling for chroma, which will of course slow everything down. For a fair comparison to FSRCNNX, you should probably set chroma doubling to "normal" quality.

Set chroma doubling to normal, gpu usage went from 78% to 62%, FSRCNNX is around 75-79.
>Which GPU?
nvidia

Madshi won once again!

>why are you using an outdated, unsupported operating system?
Because it's still better than the up to date and supported versions of android.

MX Player beta. You have to sign up for it.

You are a criminal, using deprecated OS is a simple way for terrorists to use your device as a weapon for activities such as sexual slavery.

>what's next?
Direct output to your own brain!

That's FSRCNNX-24, I suppose? How's GPU usage with FSRCNNX-16 in comparison?

What's the best FSRCNN for anime?

32%

How do I check if my mpv is compiled with Lua/Javascript support?

Is the OSC available? You have lua support.

Really? then how do I enable blackbox? I already placed the files on ~/.config/mpv/scripts/ and ~/.config/mpv/scripts/modules.js but I don't even see anything other than the default UI for mpv.

Well osc availability only tells you about lua support, not javascript. Maybe you can try doing something simple like `mpv --script some_script.js` and see if there are any errors.

But since this shitty blackbox script has legit 0 instructions I have no clue what the fuck it's supposed to do.

RAVU.

Only error I saw was
Option vo: this option does not accept sub-options.
Sub-options for --vo and --ao were removed from mpv in release 0.23.0.
See 0x0.st/uM for details.
Error parsing option vo (option parameter could not be parsed)

and

Invalid video timestamp: 0.000000 -> 0.000000

Nothing about js error or anything at all.

What's your mpv version, and what's in your config? It seerms like you're using sub-option syntax which is ancient

mpv is dead

Why?

Nice try

This one since I compiled it myself with help from the mpv irc.

commit cd8832585c96b450598e2fe8ebad006345e8e51d
Author: Kevin Mitchell
Date: Tue Dec 5 23:58:46 2017 -0800

Use upstream ffmpeg

Also might be caused by my options in ~/.mpv/config. It's the default one from LMDE I think.

vo=gpu-hq:scale=ravu:scale-antiring=0.7:cscale=catmull_rom:cscale-antiring=1.0:scale-down=mitchell

Oh here's the actual version
mpv 0.28.0-45-gff506c1 (C) 2000-2017 mpv/MPlayer/mplayer2 projects
built on Sun Dec 31 19:17:50 +08 2017
ffmpeg library versions:
libavutil 56.7.100
libavcodec 58.9.100
libavformat 58.3.100
libswscale 5.0.101
libavfilter 7.8.100
libswresample 3.0.101
ffmpeg version: N-89661-ge45f7bc

Ok the version is recent at least so that's good. Next up, remove that entire VO line from your config and replace it with `vo=gpu-hq`. You should pay attention to warnings printed on the commandline.
Then I can't help with the javascript shit, you'd be better off asking the author.

Mpv was dead long before it even happened. ffmpeg killed mpv before it was even born.

>vo=gpu-hq:scale=ravu:scale-antiring=0.7:cscale=catmull_rom:cscale-antiring=1.0:scale-down=mitchell
What the fuck is that shit? Hahahahaha.

ctl-F "--gapless-audio="

Well that broke everything. I didn't see the errors at all since I just open my video by clicking on them.
Warning: option --softvol-max was replaced with --volume-max and might be removed in the future.
Warning: option --ass-force-style was replaced with --sub-ass-force-style and might be removed in the future.

Well at least it works.

>Well at least it works.
No it doesn't, Get rid of your entire mpv.conf, it's full of outdated shit. Next up, create one from scratch with what YOU actually need.

Also I messed up, it was supposed to be `profile=gpu-hq`, not `vo=gpu-hq`.
